I miss the PD series. But they should eliminate the fan voting and have a panel of judges, idols and experts instead.

If they eliminated all fan voting from the show and just have the judges decides on all the mission results and winners of each stage, the chances are very few people would care to watch and follow the show. I think a better compromise might be to have a high percentage of the voting results decided by the viewers but the judges/producers have a smaller percentage of the results decided by them.

Also back when Produce 101 Season 1 was launched and introduced by Mnet, it was one of the first time that has a survival show featuring kpop trainees from various mostly medium and smaller size agencies on that scale and on that stage (I know there are some trainees from Big 3 that participated on the show as well). A lot of the buzz and hype for that show was due to the viewers participation and viewers interaction on deciding the fate of the trainees by voting on each round, and thus make viewers to feel that they have a say in deciding members of the survival show final lineup by their participation in voting. If the elimination of the trainees on each round and the results of the missions on various rounds on the competition are solely decided by the producers/judges/idols/experts, the show might not have garnered as much anticipation and interest and the final group might not have received such high recognition from the public.
