Katie's got some nice pipes. I like how you snuck "Whiter Shade of Pale" into "Landslide". I remember, years ago, coming home after partying for my 30th birthday and "Landslide" was playing in the lobby of my building. I walk over to my mailbox to check my mail, and I hear the line, "…And I'm getting older, too." I muttered to myself, "you and me both, Stevie." Now, since the clock has already struck midnight here on the east coast, it's now my 53rd birthday, and that line rings even truer now than it did back then. Damn you, Warren, and your all-too-perfect timing! 😉

Hi Loren, I've always been told by the smart people that I'd best to high pass at source

Unwanted subsonic frequency content like rumble or pop noise from plosives tends to produce a lot of amplitude, and thus could potentially clip the preamp or converters though the wanted signal within the audible range is gainstaged correctly.

To clarify something that can be a bit confusing unless you watch it a few times: You mentioned that when you mean mid you mean 600hz-1.5khz. Then later you show Soothe2 and you say that you "boost" 600hz. And looking at the curve, it looks like you're trying to cut out the "mids" that are being over-accentuated by the mic. So it'd be reasonable to look at that familiar smiley face mid-scooped curve and think that's what's happening. However, Soothe REDUCES and acts more upon the frequencies and harmonics that you select. The higher up you put that dot, the lower those frequencies and harmonics are going to be. In this case, you're "boosting" the reduction on 600hz and its harmonics. Just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone got momentarily confused as I did.

Sounding Great W, so beautiful spaced and dynamic, what I am really liking is the overall sonic, it isn't pushing into the sharps in anyway, like light in photography being the audio spectrum metaphor, the white balance is really lush and the musical colour temp space is really dynamic sounding, alive...been chasing that more organic live instrumentation with playing all the way through performance driven sound for a long while, i love the NT2 (older FET one) but this mic has a thing about it I really connect with off these videos, like a really good lens for a good DSLR I'll keep it in mind, but its the closest thing I have heard I like, just quickly, does it work well with vocals, soft and loud ranges ok? thanks for your video, Jeramiah
