I've never been a fan of BTS, but I can't believe how much I love this song. The influences from singers such as The Stones, Beatles, and Michael Jackson are what grab me. This song actually immediately reminded of Classic by MKTO.
@RB-zw6ym4 жыл бұрын
Oh yay! I hope this makes you more Interested in checking out some more of their stuff. Just so you know they do speak about alot of things like philosophy, psychology, coming of age stories, empowering women, and societal issues. So you can get pretty deep with this stuff. As well as I don't know if you like hip hop, but they have a song dedicated to the greats of hip hop called hip hop lover. You'll have to search up the eng subs for it, if you're interested!!! 💜 If you want more stuff like dedications, boy with luv is kind of a tribute to" singing in the rain." Something more artistic is black swan, they have an MN dance version that's just 👌. Their mv for "on" has alot of movie references, as well as religious. So that could be another one that might interest you. Anyways I'm glad you liked this song at least. Thanks for listening to them without prejudice. 💜

R B I am open to all genres of music, whether it's hip-hop, pop, rock, indie, etc. My taste in music is very eclectic. For me, it just depends on the sound, lyrics, and artist. BTS' overall sound just has never appealed to me. But, I will definitely look more into the lyrics. I'm intrigued. Although, for a song to be downloaded to my itunes account, despite me not being attracted to its sound, it's lyrics REALLY need to speak to me personally. Even if it doesn't get downloaded, I can still thoroughly appreciate it. For example, I really appreciate the BTS song 'Black Swan'. I love how it is inspired by the classical piece 'Swan Lake', composed by Tchaikovsky. Despite being a completely different genre of music, this song is structured in a way that still manages to retain the overall message of the original classical piece. It feels partly like a homage to 'Swan Lake'. 'Black Swan' is a wonderful song, but it is still not on my itunes account because I am really not a fan of it's sound. Although, I know that many classical musicians are a fan. I wish I was. 😔 I get good vibes from BTS, but their music doesn't do much for me. 'Dynamite' has a sound that just feels different and I find it very pleasant and fun to listen to. Thank you though for the information on BTS' lyrics. I will definitely look them up. 😀

@@csaulpaugh89 thanks so much for being so open minded!!! I'll just leave you with some more recommendations. Feel free to explore or not. No pressure!!! Fire and Not Today are more EDM. DNA is more chill EDM LOL. (If that's possible haha). The truth untold and jamais vu is more ballady vibes. Truth untold is connected to a beautiful Italian folklore if you're interested. House of cards. (A vibe) The Queen "Spring Day" has deep messages about loss, as well as roots in a Korean national tragedy. Blood sweat and tears is another song linked deeply to philosophy, and the book called "Damien(?)" Not sure on the spelling lol sorry. It's also a battle of good vs evil, and growing up. More rock vibes is Dionysus, and if you know anything about mythology then you'd know he is the god of wine. In this song they liken their art and music as good wine. Haha. There is also a rock version of their song fake love, (Or you can watch the normal version) which is about self love too. Idol is another wild song about celebrating their self love. Some more rap stuff is their song shadow, which is done by one member yoongi. As well as persona by RM, and Ego by jhope. These are linked to Carl Jung's psychological aspects, and book "map of the soul." They've done more rock and hip hop stuff in their earlier years. Like Danger, war of hormone, we are bulletproof, boy in luv, N.O. their song N.O is critic about the school system, the song baepsae is a song about criticising their society and systems/older generations. 21st century girl is about empowering women as well as a little diss to their government. Outro tear: a fan favourite. More intense rap. More rap and solos: cypher series (dissed haters who were criticising members that left underground rap.) Daechwita (highly recommend, have fun deciphering the story). Mono playlist by RM. Jhope hixtape. Jimin: filter, lie (highly recommend this vibe), promise (more acoustic). Jungkook: begin(dedicated to his other members), euphoria V: stigma(jazz vibes), 4 o'clock (A softer song). Jin: ephinay(self love). Awake (self growth). You can go look through their albums for maybe a better order to listen to things in. Want something experimental!???? Listen to 134340 which is about Pluto, and whalien about a lonely whale.

Little did Blake know in August when he recorded this that Dynamite would be the #1 song of 2020. Do yourself a favor and Google the English songwriting team who wrote the song. Very interesting article about how the song was created and the input the boys had in it's final version. They wanted to do a song in English and kept telling the writers they wanted a really catchy and cheerful song to help people during the pandemic. Not surprising since they respect and love ARMY so much. Jimin's amazing high voice really perks it up. Dave Stewart, one of the writers, also produced it so it stayed genuine and well done. The whole process took only 2 months. The instrumental part is excellent and keeps the fun going. The simple electronic keyboard part at the beginning with just a "Pong" every few beats is brilliant. Subtle horns overlapping the keyboard and overdubbing the repetitive voices works so well. Overall, just what the world needed. Once again, the boys and BigHit came thru and hit a home run. Unfortunately, radio play has been limited but who needs it with the Internet.

They was kinda unsubscripted, if it weren’t for the pandemic this song wouldn’t exist! Before they released it they said they wanted to make an English song for all the international army’s! And army’s have been working hard now to break records and promoting they boys, so let’s hope that the radio will play ball this time! Edit: btw they do have some other songs in English even tho it’s sub units or solo work like: Lil Nas X feat RM- Seoul Town Road, Steve Aoki -Waste It On Me feat BTS, Lauv- who feat BTS, BTS -mic drop Steve Aoki remix (it’s mostly in English) And also I can’t wait for you to check out Dark and Wilde and MOTS 7!!

Being a producer you might find a song in the public domain called “ I’ve got rhythm” From the 1930s? by a famous composer whose name eludes me ( Gershwin maybe?) but a group in the 1970s put a fast beat to it and made it a hit but since then nobody no producer or group did anything with it so you might want to give it a listen because now just about everybody is starting to release songs with a 70s and 80s beat. Just an idea. The group was called “ The happenings” and the KZbin vid that I prefer is their audio over their live performance one. It’s the one showing their 4 faces. Maybe you can turn it into a hit?? Being in the public domain I don’t think you have to pay royalties although I’m no producer or singer but I love reactions of all type of genres. People my age look at me like I’m nuts when I mention BTS or EXO or Black pink. And when I go to publix supermarket and start dancing down the aisles to the beat of Dine Oh Might I get quizzical stares like I’m on acid ( which I am but not the ingested kind). Woah Al
