Jin actually has quite a powerhouse vocal. And this is not him going high - for that you need something like Dionysus (yes, those are his high note ad libs in the last verse) or Crystal Snow live with his leJindary triple high note (they all sound AMAZING in that one tbh). Fr I'm tired of people comparing him to the maknae line and discrediting his work like he's not being singing for 10 years and being one of the vocalist with widest range (according to bts he has the widest but other people say it's tae so I'm just gonna say he's one of the widest but if someone knows if I'm incorrect do let me know). People need to stop sleeping on him and recognize his talent and hard work

Jin is known as the King of High Notes in BTS for a reason.

"It just doesn't suit his personality." I don't know if that's true, exactly. If you've seen the episode of Burn the Stage where Jin and Tae argue, Jin mentions that he actually gets depressed quite often, and that, a lot of the time, he'll just keep up a smile or play around to make the others happy. (And in other content, Jin has mentioned that making other people happy is what keeps him happy.) So he isn't carefree as he seems. I feel like a lot of the time, Jin uses the opportunities he gets to write on songs to really let his true emotions out. And sure, Epiphany came with a deeper purpose to be the intro to the final arc of the Love Yourself albums, but that doesn't mean it's not true to Jin's own feelings. It's funny because we've come to know him as Worldwide Handsome, and we know he jokes about being the most attractive, but Jin wasn't always the most confident in his looks (and he's still not confident in himself in other areas). It was just through telling himself this and joking around like that that he really did begin to start seeing himself in a more positive light. I just wanted to say to not write off Jin as just a jokester or anything u.u Hes definitely one of the mood-makers of BTS, but he's got a very deep personality and a lot that he keeps hidden.

His acting education at a prestigious private University makes his songs & performances truly unforgettable because of his excellent emotional rendition. The Creative Director of the 2019 LYSY concerts, Kevin Kim, said that watching Jin perform Epiphany live was like "watching a god perform!" Then James Osorio, an American musical director, praised Jin's vocals in Permission to Dance, esp the part "You don't need to worry..." where Jin's belting truly impressed him. "A true belting king!" he said. Jin is the only belter in the group. You should watch the Crystal Snow live from a fancam (Love Love LIke Mine), I think somebody gave the link below, if you haven't already. Jin's not been called "The Silver Voice" by a Grammy panelist for nothing. He's able to switch from chest to head & back to chest in a very stable manner showing his excellent breath control. As you can hear in Epiphany, he has the widest range in the group--you can hear his low register in Awake, Dionysus & the recent My Universe. His high notes, though, are insane, he can go up to the female range like Mariah Carey! His voice is not just a tenor but a counter-tenor/sopranist! Last but not least, Epiphany has just helped to heal an autistic boy from Mexico, Arturo Pesamiento. He first heard Fake Love and then Epiphany, where before he'd not been able to listen to loud noises or any music! He's now a passionate fanboy of Jin & BTS. So... no more sleeping on Jin, then?

I’ve seen this live and Jin is so incredible. I don’t think there’s anything more powerful than 70,000 people singing “im the one I should I love” Then they follow it with the truth untold and outro tear, both which are also really powerfully emotional. It’s an intense portion of an amazing concert. 💜💜 I also slept on Jin in the beginning which is a mistake for sure. I hope you check out “abyss” which only has a lyric version. He released it last dec when he was feeling down and questioning whether he deserved everything he has. It’s one of my favorite songs, not just by Jin but by bts.

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So glad u saw the live. Yep, Jin is learning piano and guitar. He a great singer. I am learning he can go pretty low and he is the 2nd highest voice after Jimin. I love all his songs. Check out Abyss that one is dang emotional. Sadly, no live. But awesome song nonetheless. This stage presence was something else. Jin Jin Jin😫 I mean- He ✋- He just did everything right in this concert. Personally, I love it when guys wear suits with coattails, with cummerbunds, or corsets. 🥰 And lookie, he's wearing a jacket with coattails. Added to the fact that that hair colour is one of my favourite Jin hair colours. And the ultimate kicker... His freaking voice 😫.. It just sounds like you're being wrapped in a soft, furry blanket, and told that everything's gonna be okay in the end, even though things may be suck-ish right now🥺 It's such a reassuring, soothing voice That's it!!! I know this is a melancholic song, but the over-all message really resonates Jin's confident personality. He is unapologetically himself. Love his personality, and goofiness, especially when he and JK are together. They've all grown so much over the years. But I'd say he is the member that has the most growth, in terms of talent and showmanship. Being the eldest and one with no formal training in singing or dancing before joining BTS, he had to work hard, and it has paid off. Even RM is impressed by that.

I feel like Jin often hides a lot of his insecurities because of his lack of voice and dance background. It's one of the reasons I especially love this song, because it talks all about self-love and acceptance while seriously showcasing his talent. He's such a hard worker and this performance really displays that. Absolutely one of my favorites. On another note, it'd be fun for you to react to: Not Today, Danger, Dope, Interlude: Shadow, or Anpanman.

He had 4.5 years of vocal training, longest training period among BTS members. Even Jk took only 3 years of training. Jin was the best student according to their vocal coach and was fastest learner. He has a 4.5 stable octave range too

Jin and Jimin have really high vocals, more in the usual female range. That's why the group sometimes have problems deciding in which key they will produce the song. Friends and Telepathy are two of those songs and both times the higher key prevailed :D Also Jin doesn't play the piano but asked to learn the chords of the song to add another layer to the performance He does play the guitar though and started learning the piano during the pandemic.
