a few fun facts: - daniel wrote "be myself" after jack had come out to the band about his anxiety (so he wrote it for jack) - turns out they were planning on giving "love song" to 5sos but good thing they kept it for themselves - the lyric in "I'll be okay" is how they got the name for the album - the laugh at the beginning of "look at me" is actually the joker - the boys said that it was their first time putting out a song anywhere remotely close to "look at me" so they decided to go all out edit: holy crap when did I get 1.8k likes?!?! thanks I guess lol

“For You” & “Love Song” are songs that be perfect for party nights. “I’ll Be Okay” has Summer/chill vibes. “Look at Me” is the hot song. “Stay” is really great, also has a bit club vibes. The melody of “Be Myself” somehow gives me Hawaii vibes, that’s a fantastic, emotional song. And especially “Grey” is just beautiful & definitely very emotional. I’m so in love with this album and so proud of these guys who made this masterpiece!🤍

Hii! Actually Daniel wrote Be Myself for Jack and his anxiety which really got worse especially due to covid and not being able to see his daughter (yes I know, it's weird but that baby has a little girl!) When Jack listened to Be Myself he didn't know it was for him and cried thanking Daniel for writing it and then he said "Hey man I wrote it for you, it talk about you." I said it because I think it's very important to the story of the song, at least in my opinion, and knowing how much they love and support all of them always makes me cry hahahahah. When I heard "now every day it rains" in Grey, I immediately thought of Bruno Mars's "It Will Rain," because he sings "if you walk away, every day it will rain." So when you mentioned When I Was Your Man, I was able to recognize the pattern you mentioned with the fourths & now I have the perfect trio of songs to cry my heart out to.
