I'm reposting this Jimin info that some still aren't aware of: ❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!! JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! All is sooo impressive about Jimin's performance - singing, dancing and using many props, which is really a challenge, as he is not only managing his own body, but also the objects difficult to control. But Jimin does everything extraordinary for the performance. I think it was from memories of 2020 where they showed how Jimin pre recorded the performance while singing live and showed the out fit change. He tried to do the outfit change in a few seconds but his outfit will be too heavy for him to move so there was a cut for him to change clothes😅. He's so impressive as always. He really killed this performance. Love watching him perform always

♦️JIMIN has said in an interview that he wanted the concept of the song to be to present himself to the world in many different ways! Jimin also said that it's about perspective & prejudices as well!! Aside from saying in the song that I can be anything you (army) want me to be for you, I believe that Jimin is also trying to tell so many army that keep saying things like he's insecure, weak, or helpless, and needs protecting, or just cute or sexy, or just any one thing, whatever army indeed wants to think he is, isn't the real him! That he wears whatever 'filter' that army wants him to be, but indeed in reality is so not him!! That's why army are continually surprised when they see a glimmer of the real Jimin, the way more self assured, demonstrative, take charge, confident, charismatic, alluring, at times sexy, person that kills on stage! So this (pure genius) song, that the CEO 'Hit-Man Bang' (called that since way back when, as a producer, whatever he was involved in became a hit) Mr. Bang Si Hyuk, himself, was actually involved in writing the ever so genius lyrics, that Jimin had a hand in as well. The song's lyrics have more then one meaning!! So Jimin has pretty much been doing this since the beginning, playing the role of whatever army seems to prefer for him, but in actuality, hardly anyone knows the real Jimin! So much more then what many army believe him to be. Plus since Jimin never talks much about all his amazing past achievements, abilities, and accomplishments, even before ever joining BTS, many army are still unaware of so much.

Thank you so much for not only reacting to both D1 & D2 live Filter performances, but first to the so genius lyric vid, that really gives clues to & insight to all the multilayered 'Filters Jimin shows to army to fulfill army's wishes to be what army want and desire him to be, as opposed to his true self which he's even mentioned that he's wondered just how much to reveal or show to army. I beleive on stage one can see glimmers of Jimin's true self the best. So self assured, confident, poised, & in command. There's a reason Jimin is Calle 'Stage Commander'.

Good to see that I am not the only one who could not believe that outfit change was real xD I watched this concert live in 2020 OCT and still not over all the solo performances. All were awesome but Filter has a very special vibe with this stage. Cody, just wait when you listen to MOTS7 all songs and then watch this concert with the live performances. Every song is a masterpiece and the solos just really describes the member who performs it. It was such a same that there wasn't an audience just screens back then.

Thank you for doing a reaction in both day 1 & day 2 live performance of Filter. You'll definitely miss a lot if you won't see Jimin performing his solo songs as he have a lot of things to offer in terms of vocals and his dancing and his great stage presence😆 Is it amazing how Jimin is so consistent in giving his 100% in every performance. Jimin is always perfecting every move plus his insane vocals is mind blowing, he wasn't just doing an easy choreo, how hard it is to keep being stable while doing a lot of moves like removing those clothes from the mannequin, throwing stuff while singing which is quite a distraction to a performer, ones need a lot of focus & presence of mind to be able to do that! He is called a stage genius for a reason, his stage presence is so captivating! I have read/ heard testimonies from so many new fans and reactors that they can just sit all day just watching Jimin performing. You also need to know that Jimin has a very insane wide range, he is not only good in higher range but as well with his low & mid range, you'll be awestruck once you hear his deep raspy voice so I highly recommend for you to see BTS BTS JIMIN BEST LIVE HIGH NOTES & RASPY VOCALS COMPILATIONS, I'll put the link in the reply, thank you!

Yes, Filter is definitely just one of those songs, it's in a league of its own!!!!! The vocals are so clean, and the high notes are pretty stunning. Loved your reaction. I'm glad you did the second day performance, as we get to see more of Jimin's dancing. The first day didn't show his feet. LOL I saw the video regarding how he changed his clothes. I was sorry to see it, but understand why it was done. Jimin's a perfectionist, so the decision was right for him. LOVE JIMIN. Even stage mix most clips not safe to see as well as doesn't show off Jimin's dancing & choreo.. Also of course, the Eng lyric vid equally important to react to. Jimin wrote all the ever so heartfelt emotional lyrics on his first draft, that he sent to the producers. No rewrites were necessary. This masterpiece of a song also is noted for its unexpected note change. Looking forward to reaction.

So what I gathered from watching behinds of these performances is both were pre recorded with the change of clothes part recorded separately. So the performance was edited to look like one shot. During the rehealsals Jimin did wear a couple layers of clothes and tried changing during the performance which he almost succeeded in doing but he said bc the clothes were heavy he could not dance as well as he wanted. There was also a possibility of a mistake during the changing part, so ultimately he decided to pre record the performances. It's still mind blowing how much preparation and effort went into this dance and overall performance.

this perform is awesome !!! You can see the behind in some video of the MOTS on E dvd, there they show in rehearsal for changing clothes, although I think that in those perform there are cuts, but the rehearsal is there! 💜

How could you not expect choreography with that beat and our modern dance expert Jimin? So good. I was waiting for the shocked look. It's magic, I know their is a behind the scenes on the clothes change somewhere, but I don't want to ruin the magic. Oooh, I hadn't seen the second performance of it, thanks for finding it. So cool!
