yes, wilbur is playing a character in this song (as well as his other two songs that are the prequels to this, Internet Ruined Me and I'm In Love With An E-Girl) that represents stalkerish incels who harass women online. that's where this "awkwardness" in the music and video comes from

I just wish i could listen this song for the first time every time, and never get tired of it. This is what i feel with every lovejoy/wilbur soot song. Every time i listen to songs for the first time i never really understand, i just vibe to the music, but with their songs... its like they are narrating a story which you are always able to understand, and every time you hear it you feel more and more connected to it. But the first time you listen to it, its a last time, and you will never feel the same again. Enjoy first experiences, because everything comes to an end eventually, and you'll get tired of things, and you'll try new things, and you dont have to be sorry about getting tired of things, because you'll find even better soon.
