This is giving me old school R&B "vibez" like 90's maybe early 2000's. It's like slow-jam, but still can move to it and dance. I like it. We all know he can sing and hit those high falsetto notes, but he doesn't have to do it all the time on his songs. He's so good vocally, he can sing, play and create anything he wants. He's not going to please everyone with his style of music and influences. Each its own! It's okay if you're not feeling it. His album is coming out next week so lets see what else he has instore.

Yes I completely agree with you. As someone who loves zayn and knows how talented he is I was a little let down with this song not that it was bad it just wasn't what I was expecting and I think he could of had some more dimensions to the song or done some cool high notes somewhere. I think the song is good but like you said idk if I would have put it out as a single if I were him. So yeah those are my overall thoughts.

I think the harmonies and the style of the song are what making it sound old school r&b (which is amazing) like I don't think it would fit nice if it was clearer.
