More than half the value of the house is in the foundations, which incidentally are more commonly known as Drilled Piers, Europeans tend to use the Terminology 'Caisson' for structural support in wet area's, ie Bridge supports, its a terminolgy thing and Caisson isnt wrong, its just more synonymous with marine structures.
