They should start with Bee Gees first to understand the concept of the show. Maybe from 1st week to the Grand Finale? Reacting to the finale will raise some issues.

@@rycenjopet6129 Ok I see what you're saying, you have a point. Some reactors were quite shocked when they first saw it. Maybe their friend Chad (the one Josh always talks to offscreen) can explain it to them, bc he seems to know a lot about the Filipino entertainment scene. Bee Gees would be a good start. Maybe not all their performances because there's a lot. By the time they reach the finale, it will be next year lol! Coz they have to react to other kpop & popp videos too. Honestly I can't get into this kpop ppopp thing, but that's just me.

They were 11yrs. - Francis (2nd to come out), 12yrs. - Mackie (1st to come out), and 13yrs. - Keifer (3rd one to come out) at this time. Filipinos are small stature that's why they look so much younger then they really are.

well kids in the Philippines have that much talent and confidence is probably because of the culture. they literally grew up with karaoke machines in their own homes, at the streets, it's just everywhere. they were exposed to singing at such a young age and kids learn very easily so even without proper lessons, they just copy whatever they hear and gets familiar with techniques and play with it by themselves. you'll probably faint if you see filipino kids smaller than tnt boys belting high notes and hitting whistles easily hahaha

Thanks for a fun reaction. No going back now. TNT Boys are amazing. Silent Night was their first song. They were so young. They made it through Covid quarantine and still did many covers over zoom but now as older teens they are doing solo covers, originals and some reconnecting. I think their first single “ Together We Fly” on the wish bus was amazing. Enjoy their Your Face Sounds Familiar. Unbelievable talent.

You really need to see Filipino kids nailing English songs. I insist!!! That video shows just how much natural confidence Filipino kids are on stage even as young as pre-teens. Most of the kids in that video are still performers now and are hardworking on their craft. The TNT kids are working hard to hone their craft better too since undergoing their voice transition from kids to young adults. Philippine music industry in general (as well as fans) are very supportive of young talents and emphasize parents' involvement in their children's career. Education is also stressed. A good example of these child stars that went on to make it big is Lea Salonga. It is true though young talents must be guided properly so they are not forced into doing things they don't want to do. As always thank you for always providing insightful commentary in your reactions. More power to you.

I dont think they used autotune with the first boy (Mackie). during that time, he was beginning to undergo with his puberty that's why his voice is like that and that kid is super talented with his riffs and runs (That's his expertise, R&B). If you watch their other covers, you would see how smooth his riffs and runs. Francis (the little chubby one), his expertise is belting. Keifer (the last boy), his expertise was his whistle and belts. together, these boys create this eargasmic harmony.

Off topic but I am sooo digging the shirt! Lol. But yeah Filipino kids are just naturally musically inclined and they’re exposed to an environment that is filled with the arts like singing, dancing, acting, etc. like personally, I was put in an adult choir at 10 years old because that was totally normal for us. Lol. For someone that grew up in the Philippines and the U.S., the encouragement and support when I was in the Philippines was and is still wayyyy better then the U.S. And Lowkey, I do think there’s magic in the water in the Philippines 🤣

filipina here, I grew up being trained by my dad to sing harmonies..the earliest i could remember was I was 7 and getting scolded for not waking up at 3AM to sing a harmony my father wanted me to try...my brother too is into music..he plays some instruments...he was in a band that covered Santana when i was pregnant with my son. I used to hang out outside his practice room when they practiced and my son would feel like he was somersaulting inside my belly. When he came out he liked listening to orchestra, especially Somewhere Beyond the Sea( he loved Finding Nemo).. he watched us sing during our karaoke nights and learned how to read at 4 before he even went to school just because he was envious of us..he really wanted to sing too... what's nuts was when he was younger he used to cry when he hears a person sing out of tune...when we go to sunday mass and he hears even a slight mistake he'd wrinkle his nose and look at me...😂

Always enjoy your RV and your support to our Filipino artists. In the Philippine setting, as you are well aware, it so common to sing at many gatherings, karaoke, so that hones the confidence of the kids in singing, and if they do get to compete in singing competitions even more exposure. But one thing for sure, their parents remain hands on and that helps the kids grounded and still remain/keep their child-like candor. Do hope you can find their more recent performances, of course puberty has set in and their voices has changed, but their previous on stage experience is helping them transition very well. Try to look for their rendition of Together We Fly, and also of the song The Climb, they are much grown up there. If I may recommend another child talent before, Esang de Torres, she has a performance at Wishbus too, really cute little girl at that time with very good vocals. Currently she has matured nicely and has her own youtube channel where you can find many of her cover uploads there.

Since Lucas wants to see what they have become now, you probably should watch the TNT Boys Wish bus USA performance 3 years ago of their original song, "Together We Fly," when their between 11 to 14 years of age, and their live performance of the same song last year which you can search on line. I believe their ages now are 15, 16 and 17 years. When puberty hits them, their voices changed inevitably, but the youngest, Francis, still can reach higher notes so beautifuly. They're such an fun to watch because their talents are just so undeniable.

This is a competition among the world's best, I don't think they will allow auto tune. But, that time, though Mackie was experiencing signs of puberty, it's very understandable as to how his voice did that. He is also known for his crazy runs and riffs too.

In the Philippines, kids that are enormously talented in singing are not forced by parents to pursue singing career early in their lives; such kids embrace everything that come with becoming and being a singing star. Kid singers and/or actors are required by the government to continue education; most of them go for homeschooling. I saw Gigi de Lana (real name is Mary Gidget dela Llana) perform several times in the Dominican School, Manila when she was in elementary grades. She clearly enjoyed every moment of her performances.

Wow, Keifer as your highlights!! These boys were well known around the world, but I guess Mother Nature had other plans for them. Puberty and then Covid. The boys are still singing, but they are more soloists right now, coming together for only projects since they are managed by different teams. Just a couple of things I picked up through your reactions, Mackie & Francis both have very slow vibratos naturally, while Keifer's is a little quicker. Loved the reaction when Keifer entered the stage during Listen, yes starting with what I believe is a G#5, very difficult to do, followed by his vibrato. Francis killing it through I am Telling you, great attitude as always. Mackie's riffs/runs and then Keifer tops it off with a triple layered whistle. Yes, most reactors also have no words for his whistle register. Through Flashlight, they chopped some of the best parts out of that performance, so sad. Great reaction. Thank you so much.

6:42 I agree. And I think that's the thing in Philippine culture when it comes to music. People just dont care if they sound off or not, kids will sing their hearts out if they want to and no one will bat an eye. Although as you grow old, you get more conscious. Filipino kids who didnt really developed their talent in singing tend to step back a little. Additionally, most of the time, those who developed, whether perfect or not, as log as there is potential, are encouraged to showcase their talent, and so confidence will just naturally build as a young singing Filipino. Karaoke is an exemption though. As long as long you are comfortable, regardless if you developed or not, anyone would join in.

Its a nice topic you have there, like what would you choose have a successful career now as a kid or wait until you grow up to launch your career. If its me, i think having a childhood is an important thing in life. Let a child be a child, let them enjoy childhood life. If by the time they grow and all their components are ready to launch a career then thats perfect, but some people dont have that chance and its also fine coz its not the end of the world for them. I think my point is i see a lot of child artist/celebs that when they grow either their life is ruined or they dont have a successful career as they were as a kids, but one thing in common on that was both scenario, those kids never really enjoyed childhood like they supposed to be, they get burned when they grow up. Maybe there are a small percentage of child artist that they get successful when they also become an adult, but its a combination of right environment and a lot of luck w/c is hard to both have at the same time.

Panalo is a patriotic song about the Philippines. English, Tagalog, Visaya and Ilocano. Most Filipinos used to be able to speak Castillian Spanish ( Spain) but was removed from the mandatory curriculum and replaced with English when the United States decided to go into the colonist business after grabbing the Philippines from Spain.

I think there was some controversy also over the last song they sung. They wanted to sing their first original song, “Million Dreams” but the production insisted on something else. Also I may be wrong but when they sang Flashlight, they looked somewhat downcast. I read somewhere that this was because they already knew at this point they were going to be dropped from the show. If anyone knows if that’s true or not, please correct me. Thanks.

Here's the thing. Singing is part of the culture in the Philippines. When I was a kid - whether I'm washing dishes or doing work in our backyard, we all sing. It's a second nature to most Filipinos - whether they're good at it or not. Most of these great singers, they start really young - maybe as young as 4, like Mackie Empuerto (one of the TNT boys).

TQ guys. Great reaction with so much insight from both of u. They are older teens now n still singing. However they are striking out individually while still once in a while performing together. A little context about these kids during The World’s Best. It seems they were supposed to perform A Million Dreams which had a verse in one of the Philippines’ dialect but somehow that had copyright issues. In the end they performed Flashlight which wasn’t their best performance by far. I think there were also scheduling issues as they had to go back to the Philippines to do their sell out concert in the biggest stage in the Philippines, at the Araneta. In any case, I think their management always had their best interest at heart. These three kids has a story to tell since they came from very humble beginnings. Check out about how they came into fame thru a singing competition individually but thru fate (where they were pitted against each other thru a singing showdown) they became the TNTBOYS thereafter . Check out the video that went viral and got them to the world stage later.. this video👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGq2oamva8eNZtU&feature=share

It's criminal what this show did to the acts from other countries. The kids you're watching were told before their last performance that they lost and you can hear it in the song. What they did to Dimash was absolutely horrible. He was matched against a child in the semifinals and he said "culturally, I must refuse to continue and defer to the child. I will not do anything to harm a child's future". The judges put him on absolute blast for quitting for that reason, to the point that between that and the TNT Boys, the show got cancelled after one season.
