I had one of those Suz Weinberg UTEE melting pots, and made a little tin fit it and it worked like a charm. I also tried putting the tin on a candle warmer base, it worked, but I think I saw an iceberg melt faster.

Julie, thanks for the informative review.....I really appreciate product review tutorials that not only advise you of how to avoid making mistakes (LOL) and proper usage, but also whether or not they are suitable for me. A lot of us crafters are on very tight budgets/fixed incomes who must "prioritize" their needs/wants - trust me, that can be a tricky decision (teehee). Cheers Julie!

I'd love to try these. The bonding powder (I thought) works like the Judikins sticky stuff. As in: you don't need to send it through a minc or laminator. I did a lot of testing for an online foil class. On my way to add some items to my wish list :) Thanks Julie. I love your videos.

+Diana Trout I thought the Bonding Powder would perform like other sticky embossing powders, too, until I read the instructions (What??? Read instructions??? Me??? LOLLOLLOL!) on the jar, LOL! So, I just followed them--it did seem when I initially applied the foil after melting that particular powder, that it was not really "sticky"? It said to use a household iron after applying the foil to the melted powder so I figured my Minc would probably do a much better job than I could with my iron.

I love Wow embossing powders, little bit addicted to it and yes they have opaque, translucent and transparent, opague and melt it will turn milky when you pour it ;-) i use y electric plate to melt ihe melt it, but if you have a melting pot it would work also, i got fed up quite quickly with my heatgun ;-)

great review. do they make something that will stop me from dumping an entire container of white embossing powder over the rug in my craft room as I did earlier this week? HA! Loved the thick gold with the butterfly impressed in it. gorgeous.

to bad ranger discontinued the melting pot it's coming back if you have one maybe it's time to pull it out
