Could you pair this with a Mainline GP9 and compare the sounds?
@ck78133 жыл бұрын
Hi Bradley, what are you wishing to accomplish? A GP9 (no matter what brand) and a GP38-2 comparison (no matter what brand) isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. A GP9 has an EMD 567 prime mover and the GP38-2s have an EMD 645E prime mover. They sound completely different. What it boils down to is speaker quality. In my opinion, Athearn have better speakers than what is in the Walthers Mainline locomotives. I have a few videos from about a year ago that really demonstrates the sound from a Walthers Mainline GP9.
