Product Review: Fluke 8050A Vintage DMM

Thanks for this. I just picked up a 8040A which is an earlier, maybe more portable one. But I will just use it on the bench. One of the battery terminals is broken anyway. I have several 20k+ count DMMs, so this will be a second source of information. I haven't t checked the calibration yet. It will accompany my HP 1740A scope.

I really love this video! I got a 8050 with a battery and I had the same issue. I noticed no one on KZbin has a video about fixing it until I stumbled on your video. Just a suggestion, but if you made a video dedicated to fixing the battery issue it would be pretty helpful to others. Keep up the great work!

If I can find a cheap (including cost of shipping) one on ebay, I might just do that. Walk through the battery elimination mod and capacitor replacement... Stay tuned.

I'm thinking to buy one for measure resistors and bias adjustment on my audio amplifier build what is the test leads replacements? must of the one on eBay don't have them

I think in my opinion after 0.00 I will count the " .00, " not the third one is good enough I guess
