My huepar laser reciever doesnt wirk properly in bright sunlight. It just keeps beeping. Indoors or in shade no problem but in sun its a no go. After researching Huepar even state that there will be issues with reciever in bright sunlight. Such a pity

Great review of the receiver. I've been thinking about adding this to my current Huepar setup.

hi there, i got mine today but when using pulse mode on my laser (904DG), the detector doesnt do anything (LR6RG). Even shinning the green lines directly across the middle, no beeps, no higher or lower. I wonder if my detector got broken in the mail? I know pulse mode is on; a blue light comes on and I can hear it making a buzzing noise (the laser) - I guess its to do with the 10hz thing?

Hello Roguey. Sorry to hear you are having problems with your laser level receiver. Sounds like you are using it correctly, so most likely a manufacturing defect. It could be the LR6RG receiver is not working, or your 904CG laser level is not producing a 10Khz pulse. Regardless, you should have a 2 year warranty on both products. Please contact Huepar’s customer support at customer@huepar.com to notify them of the problem. They are usually pretty good at responding right away.

One other thing I should have asked you is if the red LED light comes on when you press the “ON” button. If not, check to make sure you have a good 9V battery and that it is installed correctly as it can be put in backwards!

@@brashair7652 hi there, thanks for replying quickly. I did wonder about the battery, so I did bung a volt-meter on it - it said 9.4v. As for the 904CG, when I put it into pulse mode, the beams dim a little and I can hear a high noise noise coming from the laser (I am thinking its the 10Hz im hearing). So im guessing the 904CG is working correctly. The LR6RG hasnt made one single noise to say its picked up the laser (I tried for 30+ mins). The parcel itself looks like it took a bash (which came today). Im thinking its been damaged in the post? The red light does come on, and the other around the high/low flash on start-up but nothing else happens.

Hello I have excactly the same problem. And the same model of laser level as you HUEPAR 904DG. Receiver is the same a you have too. The receiver is not detecting laser at all. Pulse mode on. Just not working. Did you fix the problem?

Thanks for the review. Have you taken it outside in daylight to see how much range the level/receiver pair has?

Hello Mark. Thanks for watching. I have not yet had a chance to check it outdoors due to the weather here. I live in the Pacific NW and it has literally been raining everyday since I posted this video. We may get a few nice days next week so I’ll plan to take it outdoors and test it then. I’ll post the results here.

Well, we finally got a break in the weather here allowing me to take this receiver outside and test it with the Huepar SO4CG Laser Level. I was able to check it up to 85 meters in the middle of a clear and sunny day and it worked flawlessly. It would have worked even further, but I was testing in a park that wasn’t any bigger. Specifications say range for SO4CG laser level is 40 meters and Receiver is 50 meters. Both of them far exceeded that! Very impressed.

im thinking of buying this receiver....but do you think it would detect green lasers from other laser level thats not from huepar?
@brashair7652
@brashair7652 2 жыл бұрын
Hello LaTroy, and thanks for watching my video review. In regards to your question, the answer is maybe. It really depends on the laser level you plan to match it to. First it must be a green laser and must have pulse mode. Rotating lasers or fixed lasers will not work with this receiver. The Huepar laser levels emit a pulse frequency of 10 khz, so you would want to make sure your laser level is compatible. I got excellent results using this receiver even outdoors on a sunny day, but that was using it with the Huepar 16 line laser. I’m not sure what your results would be with a different brand of laser level. If you do decide to get the Huepar receiver, let me know how it works out with your laser level.

Does yours show the green light when tilted? My light comes on and off if you tilt it back or sideways out of level

Mine does the same. The signal pickup in the receiver has to be aligned with the horizontal laser, like crosshairs on a scope. This is necessary to provide both horizontal and vertical accuracy when receiving the laser signal. There is a bubble level on top of the receiver to help keep the receiver upright and level while in use.

Hi is this receiver only compatible with same brand laser or can work with another brand
@brashair7652
@brashair7652 Жыл бұрын
Hello BB, and thanks for watching my video. I have only tried the Huepar receivers with different pulse mode models that Huepar sells. However, it is possible that this receiver could work with another brand laser level, but it must have a green laser and have a pulse mode of 10khz. This receiver will not work with rotary lasers.

Hi Calvin. Where did you buy the measuring pole?

Hello Anders. Thanks for watching the video. The grade rod I used in this video was purchased from my local Home Depot in the US for about $32, but it is in inches. I have others in metric I use in Japan. The brand is Adir Pro and you can get the right length and measuring units if you order one from Amazon. They are made of aluminum and seem to be pretty sturdy. Here is a link to Amazon site that has them on sale right now: a.co/d/iosQpKq

@@brashair7652 No, the rod in the video is in hundredths of a foot (not in inches), but the same rod is also sold in an inch model. How can you tell? The rod in the video shows the numeral "9" (ie. 9 tenths of a foot) under each foot numeral. An inch based rod would have the numeral "11' (11 inches) under each foot numeral. We use 0.01 foot rods (as in this video) in the US for surveying (because decimals simplify the math, as in metric) but carpenters use a similar looking scale that is in inches, because hundredths of a foot isn't something they normally use. The black marks on the rod in the video are exactly 0.01 wide (you use the top and bottoms of those lines, not the center). On the inch based rods, the lines are exactly 1/8" thick, and you also use the top and bottom. The foot based (survey style) rods chop each foot into 100 parts, while the inch based rods chop each foot into 96 parts. The two types of rods look very similar, since the black lines are almost the same width. Also note that although huepar makes a great laser, the level bubble is absolute garbage (as the video shows it being used to plumb a rod that is very clearly not plumb (or, the laser level line isn't level, which is unlikely)). Use a post leveler to plumb the rod, they are cheap and very accurate. If you are in the US, I recommend the survey style foot rod, the math gets much easier (no fractions, just decimals as in metric.

Can it be used for vertical and horizontal level?
@brashair7652
@brashair7652 Жыл бұрын
You know, I didn’t think so, but I tried it and it does! You have to turn on one of the vertical beams and rotate the receiver 90 degrees sideways and it will work same as in the horizontal position.

Hi Sunday Footy and thanks for watching. The grade rod I used in the video is a relatively inexpensive one available at Home Depot for $31.25 USD. This one is in inches but I have others in metric that are Japanese made which I like better.
