Haaa yeah!! Even if I don't understand all the important things you say on your videos (cuz my English is poor lol), it's extremely useful and very helpful. These kinds of drawings like robots or spaceships are exactly what I love to draw. I like to say that I draw "structures", but I really like to structure my drawings with construction lines, and I would like to thank you, cuz that's because of you! Happy new year to you.... Thanks for all the videos you share.

OMSEY oner haha you’ve got brilliant English!! I hope you’re preparing lots more work for Instagram. Also, I hope you haven’t stopped your calligraphy work.... I especially liked the work you did on wooden logs!

I'm an illustrator and wanted to be an indsutrial desinger however art center wa 10k a quarter in th 80s and i couldnt afford. Its only been until the internet that much of how you artist work has been available. Its great to see this. We all learn perspective, but I've never seen it taught in such a usable way as industrial designers use it. Can you recommend any good courses or perhaps even a list of things to practice along with these boxes?
@productdesignermaker7 ай бұрын
That’s great to hear, thank you. I’ve spent the last 18 months creating three courses, and they’ve just gone live. productdesignermaker.teachable.com They are the result of 20+ years of teaching sketching, and analysing why we all struggle so much to sketch with confidence. You might decide the perspective course is too basic for you (it’s the fundamentals), but these three courses are my tried and tested way to give any designer the very best foundation - a foundation that is built to build on. I’m working on my next perspective course but it won’t be ready for a while. Thanks very much for your interest.

@@productdesignermaker Ok great, I hope this is what I've been looking for. I have Scott Roberstons book and several other on ID as my son is an industrial designer, but he said hiw school dintn teach much of these exercises and on FZD theres some students showing these drawing straight lines and ellipses but they don't detail like you do the thought process reason for the exercises other than muscle memory. So thanks. I have a staff of 2 D artists in game develpoment and though they dont do ID or much in perspective I'm getting after them to practive the fundamentals and basics which these lessons you have I feel are fundamental to illustrators as well. Drives me insane not a single Illustration program teaches usable perspective and hacks like you do in ID. Thanks again. I'll share some of my work so other illustrators hopefully read this and understand the value of what you do applies to them as well. Personally I dont use it much in my work but I don't like having chinks in my armor. www.behance.net/ChrisHawkeswww.behance.net/ChrisHawkes

I'm curious how you get the dimensions/proportions correct. I don't see you using a ruler, so do you just estimate? And if so is there a good way to estimate?

Hi, have a look at this one (there’s a part 2 too)…. It should help with your question. Let me know if it doesn’t. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWqxYaGPh7WGopY

One of the only videos on the internet with 0 likes. Good job on this one. What is better, pencil or pen, and if pencil what level of dankness e.g HB?
@productdesignermaker4 жыл бұрын
Both good. Pen is go for stopping you from rubbing out, so you’re encouraged to work quickly and loosely. For a pencil, I’d choose HB.
