Marty I wish you'd quit complaining about it not having an extra 200-300Wh in battery and just admit it's an _awesome_ wheel. I think sometimes you forget that you are an extreme case - very few people ride 3+ hours climbing mountains. You didn't even start fully charged and the V11's range was more than enough for you on this little adventure; the V11's range is more than enough for 95% of EUC riders. Great video, keep it up, I enjoyed the 4K resolution on the big screen. I look forward to seeing the S18!

Great adventure Marty and those Leatts pads stayed up throughout the whole journey. As for the V11 I believe Inmotion could definitely make the V11 wider with more space for larger batteries and maybe even bt speakers, its such a thin wheel with plenty of room for expansion on each side, hopefully Inmotion will consider that and improve on it with their next version. Great Video Marty. 😜👍👍

V11 purchase is imminent.... the difference in pounding your body takes on the suspension wheels is really noticeable for older riders like us. I did a 20 mile swamp ride and the only pain I had was from having to carry a 60 pound wheel across endless submerged portions of the trail. I'm really not a fan of hollow motors however until they are able to put high quality bearings in them, but I rant about that enough already. Yea I was a bit surprised about Mickey's declaration as well, I think some dirty handshakes were made. :)

Hey Marty nice video and thanks for sharing. I wish that my V11 was as capable. Mine was bad out of the box, hopped on went about 15 feet and the motor shut down. They said that they thought that the control board was bad. So I had to box back up and send it back to EUCO at my expense of 174 dollars round trip. Not the greatest service, would never buy anything from them again. So now I wait patiently for my baby to get fixed.
@mig62203 жыл бұрын
actually, it is possible the issue that killed the Overheat Hill wheel has been fixed. I'm really leaning to getting one in a couple weeks, so I'm going back and forth, addressing my concerns with Drew Baughman at Ewheels. I found out V11 is one of the few wheels that records telemetry, to send back to Inmotion. So they can know exactly what happened, when, and why almost immediately. Like this example... forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/20708-ugh-v11-cutout-at-525-kmhr/page/3/?tab=comments#comment-344124
@ElectricUnicycles3 жыл бұрын
There's no guarantee the Inmotion will ever look at such telemetry. You really don't want a wheel that depends on that. I really like the V11. However, for suspension wheels I've decided that I prefer the S18.
@mig62203 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles so do i... lol Its a real suspension, proven motor (not hollow), and better looking, IMO. My problem is, I'm 270lbs! The S18 will be wheezing carrying my weight. But its gotta be suspension. My knees were beat up last year... Plus, i don't want LESS range than the V10F i have now (as the S18 is, according to the specs, anyway) Decisions, decisions... lol
@ElectricUnicycles3 жыл бұрын
@@mig6220 Yes, your weight is a challenge that none of the suspension wheels will fully satisfy. I will say that the Gotway EX is a monster of a wheel that would absolutely handle your weight and give you all the range you'll need. The downside is it's a bigger wheel, has the hollow-bore motor (but they are fixing the design as we speak), and the suspension is the simpler of all three. Yet the suspension does work. With the riding that I've already done (more to follow) on the EX, I'm really impressed with the wheel. For the bigger guys they all usually end up with Gotway since they are the only company making wheels that can easily handle the weight.
@toddlarcombe89734 жыл бұрын
I ride the v11 on similar trails. After alot of adjusting the suspension myself and watching you ride i would recommend dropping 5 psi out of the suspension. It's a really small window of adjusting to keep the pedal clearance but also keeping stability for the looser gravel/sand . I found just adjusting one shock also makes the suspension better sometimes. It's abit of messing around but when you find that sweet spot it is really a special wheel.
@ElectricUnicycles4 жыл бұрын
That's the downside to suspensions. There's a lot more to adjust to get things "just right". I have some more hills to ride so I'll take your suggestion and try some different pressures. Thanks.

S18 far inferior for adventure riding such as this, east coasters don't get it :) Perfect trail for the V11, enjoyed your smooth ride. Hi Marty! Is it intentional that your Insta 360 One X is set to capture in LOG mode? I'm guessing it's the cause of the washed-out unnatural colors. Probably it's not intentional, otherwise you'd set your GoPro in Protune Flat to get a more similar image between the two. You'll get a nicer image overall with Normal instead of Log mode, and Auto White balance in case it's fixed to Daylight. For instance in parts of the video there's a significant blue cast. Maybe it can be sorted out by AWB - maybe not depending if it's due to the difference of lighting conditions between the sides of the mountain. I like watching your videos and you have fantastic environments to show, and I hope to enjoy them even more later with nicer colors.

I process and shoot all my insta360 X videos identically, for almost two years now. I shoot them all in log mode and then color correct using Insta LUT in Adobe Premiere. It is what it is 🙂
@supercurioTube4 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles yes I noticed that your videos are like that for a long time. You'll find the link to the current LUT in the "Insta360 STUDIO 2020" / "LUT" tab. Last update 2020-03-31 here, on desktop www.insta360.com/download/insta360-onex I'm fairly certain that the LUT applied doesn't match this camera model / firmware version combination - I've spent some time working on color grading and calibration of the One R which lead me to research the topic in depth. However if all you wanted to do was to shoot in LOG and apply the LUT, know that it's supposed to bring you back to the look of the Standard mode. Except that they'll be more color artifacts remaining in the final output versus shooting in Standard directly.
@ElectricUnicycles4 жыл бұрын
@@supercurioTube Although the date stamp on the LUT file is newer, the name and file size is identical to the one I downloaded a couple of years ago. As far as I know there has only been one release of that file and all their cameras use it.

@@ElectricUnicycles Good to know the LUT you've had was the same as the latest released. Many of the 64x64 LUTs generated the way they do will be the same size tho (they're text files containing floats) The One X and One R 360 LUTs are fairly different, I just compared them in a viewer: photos.app.goo.gl/YhxdPb1sMbqv2Hhw7 (The One R is more progressive) Would you share with me some original footage? I really wonder how you end-up with this flat image, with an over-emphasis of blue tones, desaturated greens, very little red, orange and yellow. Otherwise standard mode instead of LOG, you'll see that the footage would match closer with your GoPro and others camera you use.
