of course! definitely harder now during these covid days :( i made pretty much all of my friends in classes or orientation week. i think with online classes try to do projects or assignments with people you think are cool because that way you can get to know them better!!

it really doesn’t matter which laptop you use!! all software you need for certain course is available and free for all laptops. whatever you prefer
