Some big sister advice (i'm like a year and a half older than daisy but who cares, it's still big sister advice), stop looking for your type in people!! Obviously, there's standards, someone who cares about you, makes you feel loved, respects you, etc. That isn't a type, it's the bare minimum, so that's not what I'm talking about. What I mean is that a type is often an idealised version of someone that either doesn't exist or that's just one side of someone. When you stop reducing people to a specific set of attributes you gravitate towards, you open yourself up to actually just vibe with someone and it's much easier to find a partner you really like. But if you're limiting yourself by looking for someone with a specific look or specific interests, you're putting people in boxes before you actually know them. I can't tell you the amount of times a person wasn't exactly the type I thought I had (look wise, or with exactly the same interests of me, or a specific personality type I found attractive, for example), but we talked and it turned out they were exactly the type of person I'd like to date. Just keep your mind open and pay attention to the people you're around, not this idealised version of a partner you fantacize about. The way you feel about someone changes as you get to know them and that's much more important than them fitting into this mold you make up for youself. This isn't to say that preferences aren't a thing, noticing you tend to find certain physical attributes or personality traits attractive is completely normal. Reducing people to those attributes is the problem and what makes it so hard to find someone you actually vibe with.

I kinda disagree though. it's not bad to know what you want and go out and look for it because I promise you they exist lol. and being physically attracted to someone is important too. if someone is physically not my type at all but it personality wise my type i'm sorry but I wouldn't be able to find them attractive.

@@sostl154 that's fair, but I'm talking more about those people who have such a "perfect partner" idea that they won't even consider anything else. As I said, knowing you like a certain look in someone is normal, and so is wanting to find your partner attractive, but that doesn't mean you won't find other types of look attractive too. I wasn't talking about not caring if you're attracted to your partner. If we apply what I said to someone's physical appearance, I'm talking about being so focused on the one type of appearance you find attractive, that you stop considering that you could find people that don't fit that physical type attractive as well. What I mean is that idealising a perfect partner and then comparing people to that won't lead to anything in most cases.

i completely agree w you! i'm a couple years older than daisy and i played it cautious w/ relationships all my life. i stuck to my type on textbook, down to personality traits (of what i thought i needed) and physical attributes, but it didn't go in my favour. i think there's a heavy emphasis on the picture of what we want in a partner and there's this notion that you have to give up physical attraction to find the one for you, but that isn't the case at all. once you let go of that picture perfect partner, the world of dating opens up for you!

As an introvert I nearly do always things by myself. It’s literally healing for me begin alone. If ur in public I heard that people find it awkward to eat alone. When I feel lonely I watch daisy’s or Tracy’s videos. They make me feel comfortable. Also wearing headphones can help because it distracts you from strangers or the surroundings. Don’t be afraid to do stuff alone. :)
