Hi Julia, I just found your page today and I’ve really enjoyed watching your apt searches. I appreciate the fact that you don’t use swear words to make your point. Just a heads up, your kitchen counters are just laminate, and much like skin, will easily burn and blister from heat. Laminate counters can’t be repaired, they can only be replaced. To prevent permanently damaging your investment, place a pot holder, trivet, or cutting board on the counter first before you pour hot liquids or set a hot bowl or pan down. Like your kitchen counters, if your coffee table is laminate, it will blister and bubble from heat also. If it’s wood, the heat will leave white rings on the wood. Make sure you protect it also with a towel or placemat before setting hot plates and bowls on it.😉
