I currently work for Lush. Dark Angels is amazing for anybody who wants to cleanse & clarify their skin, preferably oily or acne prone skin. For Dark Angels, you need the tiniest amount (pea size) make it into a paste by adding water. I suggest using it in the shower since it is for the body as well. Sometimes we get wrong batches, whether it's the avocado oil or charcoal. You can always visit a nearby shop & exchange it. Hope I was helpful!

Kristyn Michael Yes! Every product has instructions, tips, ingredients & expiration date. It specifically states "mix a pea-sized amount with a little water" You can exchange any product with or without receipt as long as the product isn't expired. If you don't have your receipt, you will have store credit. Hope I answered your questions (:

Don’t throw out the product( dark angels) bring it back to your local Lush , they’ll exchange it for a new! Tell them what was happening and they’ll tell you if it was just a weird batch( what a thing with some people I knew who bought them in the summer)it if it wasn’t for your skin type. Also ocean salt is magical at taking it off in similar situations

I tried dark angels, and it worked for me! It is meant for oily skin so they don't put as much oil in it as usual. That's why it is hard to get off because usually the oil just comes off, so it is a little harder to get off. But I LOVE HOW your honest!!💕💕❤❤❤

omg as soon as i saw the thumbnail i knew the product was dark angels.... i lowkey bought it a long time ago because tana was using it in her skin care routine and it was great it worked well and washed off the first time i bought it.... SO i repurchased it and the exact same thing happened to me it wouldn't come off my face until i scrubbed with a wash cloth :/ 10 out of 10 would not recommend

I personally love the YES Cucumber wipes myself. Never had a burning issue. I think it's possible that some are just sensitive or allergic to an ingredient.

What I hate is when people hurt others just for fun. I was hurt once really bad I was raped and sexually assaulted by 4 different men. That’s when I fell into depression and started having sucidal thoughts. I hated myself people called me slut. They didn’t know my story why judge. SamBeautyxo I think it's just not working with her skin. I have the same issue. My mom uses this and loves it, so I tried her Dark Angels, and it stuck to my skin and wouldn't rinse off. She used it afterward and was able to rinse it off of her skin easily. It was weird.

i’ve tried dark angels, it works amazingly for me, what i would recommend is to mix a bit more water in with the pea sized amount so it’s more liquidy, then it will come off more easily. I use the Liz Earle Face Cloth and it is amazing!! it gets the charcoal off so easily however it will stain and become grey, but they are so good and reusable. xxxxx

I like how she always ignores it. Don't get me wrong, I know she loves her cat, but I feel like so many youtubers get pets solely to make their videos more interesting, so they'll reference them any chance they can for views. *MAKE UP WIPES* the brand SIMPLE - type: Micellar wipes. White package, not the green one. It doesnt have ANY smell and it even takes off even waterproof mascara easy in a couple wipes. Made with Micellar water so it doesnt harm or dry your face out. (kathleen lights also says they are the best!) I do follow it with Burts Bees Sensitive Skin face moisturizer as part of my routine. Its light, non greasy but moisturizing. I even wear it under my makeup often! 💖💖

It’s been a weird consistency lately in the states too for Dark Angel, I “double cleanse” so I’ll use the scrub and a very gentle foam cleanser to get the rest of the residue off. Aveno’s foam cleanser is my FAVORITE. It won’t over dry after exfoliating!

Exchange the Dark Angels. I worked at a Lush store for 2 years here in Canada and they have a great return policy! If you have the receipt you can get your money back within 31 days and you can exchange anything at any time. During my time working for Lush I only saw one batch of dark angles that stained as you describe. It sounds like a faulty batch and they would be happy to exchange it for something else or for a different batch of dark angles, It also helps since everything is hand made they can send in a quality concern with the batch number to ensure it doesn't happen again and the company will let every other lush store know to pull that batch off their shelves and write it off.

Dark Angels from Lush used to never leave that black stain all over your face but after the last batch that I picked up, it was doing the same thing to me! I'm so upset about it cuz it was my favorite cleanser!!

I literally swear by Dark Angels. I have combination skin but more on the dry side in the winter. I use dark angels when I am having a bit of skin congestion. However, I have never used it over any makeup on my skin. I use a makeup wipe and then apply it to my bare skin! Maybe the charcoal is adhering to the products in your foundation? dark angels is my faveeeee. i usually use another cleanser afterwards anyway though so that’s why it isn’t an issue for me. it does leave marks on the bathtub & does leave my face black if i miss a spot with cleanser but it works soo well for oily skin that i can’t let it go. 100% a holy grail product.

I have the regular (not deep wash) Neutrogena Makeup Wipes. They work pretty well and they don't smell. Probably just the deep wash ones have a weird smell. Try the unscented regular ones! They work like a charm :)

Personally I love the black angels facial scrub from Lush. I have repurchased it many times. Maybe try adding more water to it. Whenever mine is starting to get old it does what you are showing it doing. I use cerva face wash to get it off and it comes off very easy.

With dark angels it is probably sticking to your face so much because you need to take a small amount in your hand and add a decent amount (not just a little) water to it to make a watery paste and then you put the paste on your face and use it a cleanser. Give it a shot and it’ll come of soo much easier. It is such a great cleanser!

I had basically the same experience with dark angels, plus it irritated my skin like no other. Don't throw it away though!!! Return it to lush and exchange it for something else! They have a great return policy! I also feel the same way about those makeup remover wipes lol

There was a really weird batch of Dark Angels a few months back that was doing that! Everything is handmade so some batches have more avocado oil or more charcoal, and this problem was happening for a lot of people so we had to pull the batch from the shelves. If it's not expired and you can exchange it! But if you're a little more dry (which if you are using Skin Drink i'd think you are) I'd ask them about Buche de Noel and Ultrabland!

I love dark angels! This is my second run and I haven’t had any problems with it! I don’t seem to have this problem, I mix it with my face wash (or do it alone) and it come off easily. I’m wondering if it’s the formula of your batch? Or maybe it doesn’t work with your skin type (I don’t know if that’s a thing haha)? I use it everyday on my face with the biore charcoal wash and it’s really helped to keep my skin clear and soft! I’m so sorry that it doesn’t work for you!!!!

I had the same problem with the charcoal face wash! I felt as though even after I'd SCRUBBED it off of my face, it would've sunk into my pores and it made me look like I had a beard or something? It was horrible. I tried using it in the shower, hoping that it would come off as the water would constantly be running on it but nope. Nope, nope, nope. Worst product I've ever got from lush.

I used to work at lush! Use way more water than dark angels, but don’t use it unless you have super oily skin, with deep pores. I’d recommend let the good times roll or angels on bare skin! Even herbalism!

i use dark angels from time to time and the pigment on the skin is sort of a usual thing that happens with using charcoal as its veru pigmented. i use a facecloth with a small amount of soap in the shower and it comes of like a treat.

Dark angels works for me. What helpt me is when i keep adding water. I keep adding untill its kind of like black water but a little more thick. I hade two and one did the staining to but the orther one didn't. Sorry if u typed somthing wrong. Im from belgium. Love you❤

I have tried Dark Angels and it does the exact same thing to me, I continue to use it under my armpits because it really helps with my odor and stripping deodorant. When I first used it I was scared! It took awhile to get off and I used African black soap and it came off for awhile.

I have the same problem with the dark angels, however I just go over it with another face wash and it works wonders! I really do recommend the coalface face cleanser by Lush for taking this stuff off. You should really give it a second shot! Loved this video :)

Had same problems with lush's dark angels. You need to use another cleanser to take off any resiue left which defeats the purpose. It use to be a nice product years ago before they reformulated it.
