I have been a Paula fan since I found her books in my local library in the very early 90s. I had sensitive skin and was diagnosed with rosacea. Her advice to avoid fragrance, including essential oils put me on the right path. At first I resisted buying her products because I did not like how she started selling her stuff and reviewing it - the reviews for her stuff was always great and mixed in with the very thorough reviews for other products. I’m glad that I got over it. The majority of Paula’s products are the best ingredients, reliably formulated to be effective and sold at a reasonable price point. There is nothing not to love. Her website is the best place to buy her stuff. Staff is helpful and they have a great discount/loyalty program. Returns are rare but easily accomplished.

Thank you for giving Paula Begoun the credit and accolades she so richly deserves. I have so much respect for her. Back in the early 80's and beyond, before You Tube, I would refer to her books for information on skin care and cosmetics to help me chooses wisely. I don't know what I would have done without her! I've been using many of her skin care products for years.

Thanks for highlighting Paula’s Choice. Since I’m 71, I can say I have been a fan of Paula since her very beginning and have been buying her products since the beginning also. I still do since I can’t find a sunscreen that I like better and some other products too.

I was a part of Paula's online community. I loved her products and her teaching! I think I don't remember but I might have discovered her on QVC or something like that. I don't remember how I discovered her. But it was what led me to the strong interest in skin care.

Even though I always loved Blue eyeshadow and Paula didn't, I have always loved her products. I was introduced to the BHA solution when she first started her podcast and the only way to listen was online. That was well over 20 years ago.

Heck, I used to get Paula’s newsletter way back in the 90s I think, the first person I remember to focus on ingredients and education - of other companies’ products, because she hadn’t gotten to that point yet! Way, way too many products to choose from, but they do have nice bundles so it’s easy to do a one-and-done purchase and know they’ll complement each other without overlap.

How about a video on early skin care ~ Erno Lazlo, Janet Sartin and Clinique. I am 72, have good skin and I attribute it to early adoption of a skin care program. I've learned so much from you both and my skin is looking better than ever. A shout-out to the Remedy pimple patches.

Y’all, the 20% niacinamide was amazing for my skin. I have oily acne prone skin. Only tiny bit of irritation I had was on my upper eyelids. Once I figured to not put it there, I never had irritation again.

I stopped using Paulas Choice products over the last two years becuae they started to irritate my skin. I only watched this video out of curiosity and to support the channel and learned two things in the first ten munutes. The company was sold a couple years before their products started to irritate my skin and both of you now have sensitivities to their products. Make of that what you will.

Paula's Choice and Beautypedia have been my source for ingredient knowledge for a very long time. I use their ingredient checker before I buy any cosmetics. Instead of cleansing balm, their Cleansing Oil has been my favorite for over 5 years. I love the seed oil smell in some PC products. My favorite product is Resist Intensive Repair Cream moisturizer.
@jbridges95748 сағат бұрын
At a high level my only negative for PC is launching an eye cream based on Paula’s original stance on them. There are a few products I don’t love but I don’t think they’re bad- just not for my skin type. The products are grouped on the website so you can narrow down what you need/want by skin type, etc.

Knowing that the beauty industry is unregulated, I had zero faith in any products. Changed my mind with her Moisture Surge and Resist Repair with retinol. When I unexpectedly saw a change after a few weeks, I went down the YourTube Derm dr spiral and now 5+ years later, have a significant routine (including tretinoin now) and look younger than when I started. That said, I don’t bother with “her” products anymore. Too expensive. Corp greed at its finest, lol.
@RafaellaSchumann2 сағат бұрын
I really got into skin care in my 20’s cause of Paula’s Choice and used so many of her products. Now, they are just too expensive for my liking. The 2% BHA was M-I-R-A-C-U-L-O-U-S and I’ll forever be a fan of it. Unfortunately, cause I use adapalene, I feel like my skin can’t tolerate it, not even once a week. I understand the research behind Niacinamide, but her 20% Niacinamide booster was one of the best products I have ever used in my life! Love Paula’s Choice forever!
@Vantasticviews28 сағат бұрын
Love PC! Been using products for years including the 2% BHA, the SPF 50 chemical sunscreen (I need a bigger bottle!), combo AHA/BHA, and both of her retinol products. I had to stop using the 1% due to irritation but have had good luck with the more gentle formula. Very happy with her products and usually will stock up a couple of times a year when she has a site-wide sale. Thanks for the review! 😊

They have quite a few interesting products😋 and sometimes you don’t pay attention to them, just because there are many options and some are outshined. Their Discoloration Repair Serum has 5% niacinamide which can be an option for those long for it. Their antioxidant lineup is great, every single one is great, best texture and ingredients for this category on the market, the super antioxidant serum and power berry serum. I like their retinol cream lot, both the body and face one have multiple actives, it can be an option 1 treatment “serum” only routine, which simply things a lot.

I’d already been using Nizoral, T/Sal and T/Gel shampoos without much improvement to my burning, itchy scalp or suddenly dry/peeling face, finally saw a dermatologist who diagnosed me with Seborrheic Dermatitis and put me on Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and cream -- HUGE improvement!! (and cheap!) (She also recommended Selsun Blue and old-fashioned plain Head & Shoulders if I ran out.) I wash both scalp and face with the shampoo, let it sit a few minutes before rinsing, then apply a teeny amount of cream to my face. I can now alternate shampoo with my normal, gentle shampoos and face washes, but still have to use the cream every day. I’d battled these issues for almost a year, spent so much money and time trying everything under the sun, so for me a derm appt was absolutely worth it and I could kick myself for waiting so long! And your primary care doc might have more experience with skin stuff than mine so you might not even have to do that. Good luck!

This is a super expensive brand so have only ever been able to try a few things but could never afford to ever repurchase or make them product regulars in my routine. I liked the BHA but the lotion version for dry skin rather than the regular toner, and the 10% azelaic acid. I have not tried anything else but heard her serums especially the vitamin c is meant to be good.

You’re actually supposed to use a lot of spf on your face, a half-oz I think, or just squeeze it the full length of two of your fingers. And that’s just your face - not your ears or neck or anything else! Feels like a LOT, but that’s the medical recommendation.
