Since this interview 2 years ago, Baba Akintoye has led millions of Yoruba into the freedom struggle from the destiny destroying Nigeria. Millions of Yoruba are peaceful agitating for an independent Yoruba nation. United Nigeria should be allowed to continue while the constitution be amended to promote Regional Governments within the federation . The central Government should have reduced power..if Nigeria were to have referendum today on break up, you will find out majority will prefer United Nigeria With a stronger Regional Governments there will be less Complaints that other ethnic group Wants to retain power perpetually . Lest we forget that if each region break away to form individual country based on ethnicity there will also be other ethnic groups who will not move because they have roots in a state that is not their state of origin which is perfect example of unity. If Nigeria were to have referendum on regional Governments it will pass by close to 90 percent . Every Region will have their policing which makes community policing more practical. Pan Africanists are talking about Unites States of Africa with a lingua franca of Swahili while Nigeria is talking of breaking the country to 5 countries which will only turn the have country to have country in addition to more have not emerging Countries.
