Department Introduction
Dermatology is a branch of medicine that deals with diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Dermatologists are specialists in dealing with clinical aspects of skin diseases and their management.
The Department of Dermatology at RMI is a centre of excellence which serves more than 7,000 patients in the OPD annually. Each patient is treated with respect to their skin condition. Our experts ensure patient satisfaction after the treatment and procedures. The department is treating common skin diseases like Eczemas, Psoriasis, Melasma, Acne, diffuse hair fall, Fungal Infections including nails and other rare skin diseases.
The Dermatology department at RMI is operative six days a week for outpatients. Moreover, inpatient facilities are also available throughout the week. Admissions facilities for skin patients are available both in wards and separate rooms. Laser facilities for hair removal, acne scars, Cautery & Cryotherapy are also available. The department is under the care of highly qualified Consultants.
Students of RMC are also trained during their clinical rotation at the Dermatology department.

Laser Facilities (Hair removal, Acne Scars, Mole Removal)
RMI provides laser treatments for removal of hair, moles and acne scars, freckles.
Pico Laser
Picosecond laser is a laser device that targets pigments in the skin with very short duration pulses of laser and removes it. It is used to remove Tattoos, Melasma treatment.
Hydrafacial Facilities
Hydrafacial is a combination of cleansing, exfoliating, and then infusing skin with intensive serums. It is comparatively milder than other exfoliation and abrasive procedures which insures no damage to the skin and a skin treatment in presence of medical experts by medical grade equipment.

Eczemas
It is a common skin condition marked by itchy and inflamed patches of skin.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a dermatological condition in which the skin cells grow abnormally which forms red patches on the skin with white scales.
Diffuse Hair Fall
Diffuse hair fall is the increase rate of hair fall and subsequently thinning of hair from all over the scalp
Scabies
Scabies is an itchy skin condition that is caused by a mite known as Scrcoptes scabiei. Intense itching occurs in the area where the mite burrows. The urge to scratch the skin may be strong at night.
Acne Vulgaris
Acne Vulgaris is a common skin condition which is curable. It presents blackheads and whiteheads and pimples on the skin. The most common areas being affected are face, chest, shoulder and back.
Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a skin condition where the skin loses its pigment cells and it results in the patchy discoloured white skin.

Hi Dhiraj I’m a 50 years old South East Asian male. I was diagnosed with vitiligo at the age of 10. Ever since, tried so many unsuccessful treatments. Fortunately, thanks to KZbin, I watched two videos posted by William K. I’m so happy that for the first time in my life, a treatment, and of course with any medication, really works. Within two months my face got tremendous re-pigmentation. If you want to try here is the protocol I’m following: 1. Ginko Biloba 120mg - once a day (optional) 2. Copper 1mg - once a day 3. Zinc 50mg - once a day 4. Vitamin D3 2000IU - a day 5. Copper Blue 5 Anti Aging Lift - Twice a day 6. One to two hours of Sun exposure a day As mentioned by William, and I second his opinion, sun exposure is the dominant factor in this treatment. In the beginning, sun exposure could turn your skin red, or you may get sun burn, so it is advised that gradually increase your time for sun exposure. I started with 15 minutes and increased 15 minutes every week. Now after 2 months I’m sun bathing for about 60 to 90 minutes a day. @@1stx3 Fawad koi dawa nahi hai. Kisi achchi pharmacy par ja kar copper cream talash karo. Main nay copper cream USA say mangwai thi jo khasi mehngi hai. Pharmacy say vitamins lo: Copper 1 mg Zinc 100mg Vitamin D3 2000iu Copper cream Saath main dhoop bohot zururi hai
