For those who are not understanding the last line spoke in Gujarati, The student asked "do UPSC provide model answers to examiner?" Sir answered that, "no, UPSC don't provide any model answers, rather the senior examiner guide the junior examiners by evaluating 3-4 questions and ask them to check the answers on the basis of these points" In Hindi, Student ne pucha, "jo Pareekshak humare answer check karte hai, kya unko Model answers diye jate hai?" Sir ne jawab diya, "nehi, UPSC koi model answer (प्रतिमान उत्तर) pradan nehi karte hai, jo senior (varishth) examiner hote hain, wo baki examiner ko tin char sawal ka jawab evaluate (मूल्यांकन) kar k dikha dete hain. Ki aise aap baki jawab k v evaluate karein aiye परिप्रेक्ष्य se. (इस तरह अन्य उत्तरों का मूल्यांकन करें)" (वे किसी भी प्रश्न के लिए मॉडल उत्तर प्रदान नहीं करते हैं).

In which paper ? Except maybe a couple of questions in GS-4 and Essay there's no scope of giving any kind of perspective in qsns. Most of those are objective standard questions in GS papers. Which years mains paper are you taking about ?

I guess UPSC exams are not only about social science isn't it? Students from Science, Commerce can also apply and choose subjects of their choice. Can anyone say why emphasis on Arts is given more?

Emphasis on arts is not given. Every topic is covered that can tell in detail about India. Like economy, science and technology, etc

Subjective questions lead to subjective evaluation. U have a clear objective I want good administrators once u have an clearly defined objective questions should be objective. And yes objectives don't mean mcqs.

Any member of the UPSC examination panel is prohibited from disclosing or discussing such information under oath. Legal action is taken for violating the rules.
