Prof. Jayaraman was a legend, someone whom every young engineer or ham should know about. I have had the privilege of having a QSO with him in 2015. His knowledge and enthusiasm was unparalleled. Please, I request you to upload the full documentary. I know that there are copyright and other issues, but if you do, it will be a great tribute to Prof. Jayaraman. VU3VWB

Bending that aluminium plate reminded me of when I started out building a valve receiver using ECC81s and then a single valve transmitter using a 5763 for 80 and 160. Next came a 6CH6 oscillator and/or multiplier and 807 PA for 40-20-15-10 metres. I had a lot of fun CW contacts on those rigs😁

I was a very dedicated Swl, in Sri Lanka from 1965 to 1985. Vu2 JN was very regular on 40 meters blasting in loud and clear. I really miss those days.

While searching something bumped into this video! Was really carried away by his enthusiasm in Amateur Radio. He has correctly portrayed the true character of a Ham who gets excited when a long distance communication is established from his QTH and also creating homebrew rig. Several instutes offering Ham courses for a significant fees including many Ham training camps across India, primarily focus Ham Radio as a disaster management and job-oriented course while the 'Hobby' part takes a back burner, which is totally misleading. In the video Prof Jayaraman makes a clear point that Ham Radio or Amateur Radio is primarily a hobby that engages people in complete positivity. Listening and seeing him in the video made me feel sad as I will never be able to meet him in this mortal world. May his soul rest in eternal bliss. R.I.P. 73

Nice to see this video on VU2JN, whom I used to work daily on 40 m during 1980s. Could visit him at both home and college in those days. Used to listen to him prior to that as SWL as well! 73 de Jon, VU2JO

Awesome! One must appreciate the enthusiasm, eagerness, keenness of Prof. Jayaram. The cameraman has done a good job in gelling the visuals in line with the narration and achieved a seamless flow! Ham Radio is a great fall back / back up alternative communication channel. I hope more youngsters will pick up this hobby.
