SBF's first book in the Reshaping India series with Routledge critically analysing how emotions shape politics and ideological proclivities, the book suggests ways in which progressive forces can constructively mobilise ethics and emotions. As the book's introduction asks-
"Without making sense of emotions, understanding of the Right merely through ideological frames is insufficient. What are the emotions they mobilise and how do they do it, and can those who stand opposed to them appeal to emotions in a similar way?...How do we (progressives) remobilise and occupy ethics and emotions that are not majoritarian, ethics that do not eschew co-responsibility, and emotions that do not produce a valorised self? What is the interface between ethics and emotions that we need to envisage, and how can we carve newer space for what can be identified as ethical emotions?"
