The big difference here is that first encounter and subsequent misrecognition between the different peoples of Europe and the Americas was authentic; a result of the organic development & migration of capital which destroyed the indigenous modes of production. But the "Israelis" already had foreknowledge of the peoples of middle east before they embarked on their "Israel" project-- which was completely fabricated; a purely ideological project abstractly imposed from the top down. The difference is that eventually the European settlers were able to recognize the humanity of indigenous Americans on their own accord. But Israeli settlers were already aware of the humanity of Palestinians before the fact-- they just simply deny its existence perpetually

I believe the Israelis were promised water from Syria for the pause in Gaza. To the Israelis water is existential as they currently burn most of their natual gas to make fresh water from desalination. This is not a viable long term solution solution for Israel. They can go back into Gaza anytime they want, but new sources of fresh water is very hard to come by.

I think one of the main reasons why the Left usually is not that pro-Iran has to do with the fact that the communists, who were an important part of the revolution against the Shah, were massacred in their thousands by Khomeini after he came to power. And also, for obvious reasons, religious conservatism is not that popular on the Left as well. But I think all reasonable leftists can now appreciate the contribution to the global anti-imperialist struggle by Iran.

I'm sorry, but it became absolutely clear that on October 7th the Israeli border control stood down to allow some Hamas soldiers to enter Israel in that attack. Which shows that the Israeli regime or at least Mileikowski/Netanyahu and his confidants knew of this. Is a part of Hamas still working for the Israeli regime? Because the Israelis created Hamas originally. Only, most of those members are on the Palestinian and Gazan side long since now. Some videos also surfaced that showed that most of the shooting and other atrocities committed on the Israeli concert goers and Palestinians were done by IOF. That 'attack' was created to give the IOF a reason to invade Gaza, only it went sour for them very quickly...
