There was a reporter who got an interview with Sinwar early into the genocide. She got into Gaza. Not sure how it all worked. I think she was a European lady. But Sinwar was out in the streets among the Gazan people easily detectable. If Israel wanted to take him out they could have done it probably pretty easily. I’m wondering if they purposely decided not to so they could put forth their narrative about him hiding in the tunnels with hostages. And then use that as a reason to continue their aggression and ethnic cleansing. If they got him early on there probably would have been a lot of pressure to end the genocide.

Both "American Exceptionalism" and "Israeli Exceptionalism" have 2 different meanings: The interpretation within the country where this is considered a "positive" thing. And the interpretation outside the country where this is considered a "negative" thing. Is America "exceptional"? Absolutely! The mass sh**tings, the lack of health care, the poverty rates, the poor infrastructure, the poor drinking water (see: Michigan), the constant conflicts around the world, the isolation and rate of deterioration of America' reputation on the world state, the corruption, the ineffective political system, the mass incarcerations, and not even material leave. Considering what is being done, and _has_ been being done to his country for decades now - the sanctions which have caused tremendous suffering, including many Iranian deaths and uncountable other offenses together with the profound disrespect, the slander and lying accusations from the West (American here acknowledging this) it is almost incredible that this man is so unemotional and reasonable in his assessments.
