@@PROFGAMPO you need a small loyal audience. The ones that hit mean you reached into someone's heart. And you got loyalty (therefore money). Cheap views are worthless. Look at LMFAO and Asher Roth. Asher is pushing some good stuff. But he was a one song.

22 and still living with my parents I've always heard and received this threat and sometimes still do. When I heard this song the first time the tears that I cried we're probably the purest tears cuz there's this was one of the only songs I could relate to. It may not have actually happened but because of that threat it's now a constant fear. All I ever wanted for Christmas was a normal one even as a kid. There's very few songs that I've heard that I can relate to on 100% level and this is one of the very few I want the top. Mad kudos for the work you put in man. "Left the house so I can cool down, but the dragon stayed hot who's a fool now" that part hit hits home literally.. my dad was a abusive alcoholic especially after my parents divorced at 16 and found out he wasn't my biological dad as my mom moved away.. All the anger got taken out on me and I became the whipping post for the family.. I stood up to him and left but when I got home I walked into a fist and woke up the next day.. I was ok with taking the beatings as long as it didn't get taken out on my mom or my sister's I figured at that time being a man ment to take the wrath away from them.. he got mad at the air one day charged into my room and tried throwing me through a window well I didn't quite make it out the window because my spine caught the granite window seal which paralyzed me for 3 days and wasn't allowed to call a ambulance as I laid on the floor helpless, sister's were too young to understand.. sometimes that dragon doesn't cool.. Eminem used to help me till he turned on his fans, now PROF is in the pudding being that man

This song really hits home, i grew up with a very physically abusive alcoholic father, i was the youngest of 6 kids and i was the only one he didnt beat because of my age, but the mental abuse of having to watch it happen to all my siblings and mother was exponentially worse than any physical pain anyone could ever inflict on me. When i was about 12 years old i was woken up at about 5am by one of my sisters yelling at me and telling me the house was on fire, luckily we all woke up in time and made it out safely, but the house was destroyed. The fire was started by my Dad cooking french fries in a pot of vegetable oil on the stove at about 4am before he left for a fishing trip for the weekend, so he was responsible for the fire and he was also well away from the house by the time it started and there would be no Phones, People, TV's, Radios or Newspapers where he had gone for the weekend, so he was safely away for a few days and could not be contacted so he would go a few a days without even knowing what happened, maybe. To this day i still wonder if he had left the stove on with the pot of oil on the burner on purpose? And back then(1983) if we had all died in that fire he would have gotten away with it scott free and people would have taken pity on him and treated him like a victim because he lost his family to what looked a simple absent minded accident. There was another day i remember him being drunk and grabbing his shotgun and telling my mother he was going to the basement and might shoot himself and if her or any of the kids went down there he would shoot them as well. It took about 6 R.C.M.P officers to disarm him and take him to jail for a whole night and release him the next day without any charges. It was obvious he did not really enjoy the responsibility of having a wife and 6 kids and would be much happier without them since he spent everyday out of the house using what little food money we had getting drunk somewhere and only came home to eat, sleep and take his anger out on people who could not fight back. i spent the first 15 years of my life in pretty severe poverty since welfare was the only income my family had and my father got drunk pretty well every single day and smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and never had a job, my mother had to take care of everything, i was actually born a full month premature to the day on christmas day instead of january 25th because my mother went into labour while moving a refrigerator so she could clean it since no one else was going to help her do it or do it for her. The fire may have just been an accident, but i still can't help but wonder to this day, My mother divorced him when he was around 48 and luckily he quit drinking around the age of 52 and died at the age of 72, considering the amount of cigarettes, alcohol and greasy food, not to mention all the fights he got into he lived far longer than he should have, a few of his brothers died in their 40's from alcohol related issues. He spent the last 20 years of his life as a completely different person, he was extremely generous and went out of his way to help anyone he could even cooking lunch and dinner everyday for some of the older people in the low income apartment building he lived in, he would loan or give away his last bit of money even if it meant him going hungry or not being able to pay his bills. I think the fact that my mom divorced him and all the kids were grown and moved away and he was not drinking gave him the clarity of mind, the space and free time to work through his issues, both my moms and dads parents were relatively religious roman catholics, so i imagine my dad got my mom pregnant and they were forced to marry and kept having kids since contraception is a sin in the roman catholic religion, and my dads father and his brothers were all alcoholics so it was something he knew and something he could easily obtain when he was stressed and i think the whole having an unplanned kid and being forced into marriage young made him feel trapped and angry that his entire life was now mapped out for him without him having any say in the matter and then having 5 more kids over the next 10 or so years combined with heavier and heavier drinking and more and more abuse just got him trapped in a hamster wheel of self destruction and he never really spent any time alone or sober so that he could try to sort his issues, and where and when he lived men were supposed to grin and bear it and suck it up, so while i can see how his life unfolded the way it did and how he ended up the way he did it does not excuse the way he acted, although i have long since let go of any anger or resentment since anger, resentment, dwelling on past mistakes etc... have no possible positive outcomes and only make things worse. So listening to the Lyrics of this song brought up a lot of old memories and emotions i have not thought of for years, and they also managed to paint a bit of a picture for me of who you are, since i can somewhat relate to some of your experiences and i know when you grow up like that it is a sort of a crucible and it either strengthens you or it breaks you, but it can come very close to breaking you many times before the strengthening is finished.

I love that the video Its kinda scary kinda apathetic and completely vulnerable. When an artist will do this the fans will follow with a sense of loyalty. We get to find out who they are as they grow. A collection of their art is created over time. Pieces and bits end up side by side and a signature style emerges. A summary of their parts.

My dad is bipolar too... it makes for quite the childhood. As boys we look up to and admire our fathers, but for many of us there was a moment where that admiration turned to disappointment and disgust. I am glad for one thing though. Now that I am a father I remember how he treated us and swear to myself that I will never put my wife and children through that selfish hell.
