Butterfly Knife is about his vulgar mouth. He grew up cussing and talking tough to survive in his neighborhood, and people being offended by his mere personality is ridiculous. Butterfly Knife is also extremely difficult to sing. It took me DAYS. Worth it - it's one of my favorites. Respect to Prof for singing falsetto even if it isn't perfect.

Listen to the lyrics. He's talking about his mouth. He grew up in an abused home. The butterfly knife is his mouth. It's his weapon and everyone talks about how it's too much and vulgar. Being someone who came from an abuse home, I also bite at people who abuse me and try to murder my spirit. BUTTERFLY KNIFE is probably the best song on here in explaining WHO prof is. Also, I think some of this is about "reactive abuse" which is when an abuser pushes you to the point of snapping and then they gaslight you, talking about how horrible YOU are for saying those things. Abuse and mental illness is a serious thing. I applaud him for making a song that actually talks about it.
