Great video. I use a seflie stick placed in dumbell weights to get and overview of my technical drawings, it's easier to see. In the UK, we use millimeters, I can't get my head around feet and inches.

Longitudinal is parallel to the roof ridge. Transverse is perpendicular to the roof ridge. They are both cross-sections.
