I remember from 2016 that fans later found out that the red velvet girl wasn't able to participate in all the practice sessions - she was either sick or had some schedule i can't remember. I think it's incredible impressive that Jimin noticed mid performance that she was sruggling and actually broke the straight line of the choreo to step a little bit in front so she can see him and use his movements as guide. His awareness of his surroundings during performances is incredible.

youre first reactor who is talking about his hands!his hands are allways so beautiful , like in black swan, his hands posture is dancers hands, i mean i have danced younger a lot and my jazzdance teacher told that it is so important think how your fingers and hands posture is. i mean when you have your hands up, your fingers should be in their own positions in different angles and level. i hope your understand what i mean.

Here's info that some aren't aware of: ❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!! JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals. JIMIN has won the prestigious titles for 2 yrs in a row for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, now 3 yrs in a row, as well!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! He's very controlled. I think that is what you meant. So when he switches into another genre he doesn't lose that control. He does with the music, he's catching everything. And his ear, is different from most dancers because he's in music, so he has to hear different things from something that may seem so simple to another. Its kind of hard to explain it in the way I wish that I could.

That's so amazing how you spotted, noticed on your own Ghstloop Seulgi. From Red Velvet was watching Jimin to make sure dyed remember the steps!! Jimin, who's friends with her, even coached her backstage, as well as made a point of moving a little bit more in front to she could watch him easier!! Since they all had such busy schedules, apparently Seulgi had the shortest time to practice, and learn these moves!! Most of these idols lol had not yo long of a time as well! That's the only areas on why Jimin,mThe ultimate perfectionist, would have lived more time to perfect all the moves even better!! Lol!! But that exactly why he's known as the Stage Commander, as well as earned the title of King of Kpop for 2 yrs in a row as well as Best Kpop Dancer now 3 yrs in a row!! All other idols & rookies, look up to him because of his work ethic and making a point of practicing to a point of not only perfection, with all his clean precise lines, but also emoting and internalizing the music to make whoever watches, feel what the music intended you to feel. Jimin does the same vocally as well!!

Yay!!! I so wanted to see your take on this performance. Thank you for your insight and it’s always cool to learn more about dance and how the boys dance. I wonder if the way Jimin throws all of himself into his dancing and the power it takes to maintain control are the reasons he has the muscle spasms and issues with his neck and shoulders that he does. It must take a toll to be able to pull back enough to maintain his control. It also seems to me that he hits each beat exactly on time where some of the others are almost on top of the beat. People have said in the past that he is late with his movements but as a drummer I know that’s not true. He is hitting his mark right on time instead of being on top of the beat like the others. It makes for a unique quality in this dancing. Take care and I’m glad you are able to be dancing again.

My eyes are always drawn to Jimin's dance and your explanation in this video from a dancer's perspective made me realize why! I can't remember word for word but you were describing Jimin's movements in the "I need you" scarf dance and how much energy he puts in to the point of being out of control, & yet having the strength to reel it back in makes so much sense to me! Sorry if I can't make a sentence but it's 0430 when I'm watching this, lol. Thank you for breaking it down for the rest of us who aren't dancers. If you do an OT7 performance, it would be great if you could comment on each members' dance style and their differences, as well as highlighting the thing that makes them stand out. I'm so glad that you pointed out the changes in Jimin's body when he dances, because his dance posture has always intrigued me, but I never knew how to pin point it and now I see that his neck elongates as you mentioned.

I love what you said abt Jimin having the same persona regardless of the dance genre he is doing… whenever i watch BTS doing hiphop i often notice how his moves seems to be a bit different and its as if his contemporary and other dance backgrounds leaks out. He looks like he obsessively trained all kinds of dances that it became part of his muscle memory and he has a very unique set of movements

As a dancer, the height Jimin gets for his aerials is amazing. I have to whip my legs around quickly so that I can actually complete the rotation but he just effortlessly twists around while getting immense height. His center of gravity is seriously impressive

Jimin had gone through a very hard time to pick up hiphop dance which cause him wanna quit so many times. When he once said he used to think he literally lived in the studio and dance 24hrs. The female dance you mentioned with closed neck is MOMO of TWICE and other to the left side with open neck is MINA of TWICE. But MOMO is not a classical dancer,she is free style dancer and MINA is a classical dancer. And both of them are japanese.

I think the dancer she was actually referring to was the Main Professional Dancer Luda Lee. You can't see her very well in the Bangtan Bomb Jimin focus version, but she is the center of the contemporary dance with the high ruffle neck.

J-Hope is extremely versatile, because he combines all of the Hip Hop dance styles. He specializes in popping dance. There are many videos of him doing solos in the dance studio. :)

Im not a dancer... But inlove jimin.. I think what make jimim different bcoz he has amazing martial arts background... His lower body is so strong... No matter how upper body move... His lower body is not moving at all... And jimin not dancing on beat... He did rhythm aand did faster or slower than actual melody but can ending right on beat... That what make audiences feel his emotion and hold their breath when saw jimin dancing
