Fun fact: some of the ideas for this choreo were added by Taeyong (the guy with the blue bucket hat), such as the finger movements during the chorus, the part where a member jumps off of him etc., the original choreographer later said in an interview that he was really impressed with all his ideas. Taeyong always likes to add his own little details and it's so much fun.

The guy with the bucket hat is Taeyong, the leader of NCT. He's an amazing dancer/performer and always gives it his all. He had a back injury before debut and deals with chronic pain from it. It relapsed at the end of last year but he was back in no time. You can tell just how passionate he is about his work.

Kick It was truly iconic and robbed of awards in my opinion! Such a unique concept and an incredible dance to go with it that soooo many idols and shows were covering it was everywhere, NCT in general is amazing but me being a Taeyong biased can never take my eyes off him cause he always has his own flavour, adds his own details plus he tends to help with choreos, his stage presence is even more mesmerising though I didn't get to see him through a 127 concert thankfully I got see him for Super M before the pandemic and it was one of the best nights of my life, he was a top quality performer along with the rest of the members. I can't wait to start going to concerts again they are such an exhilarating experience.

"Kick It" is all about Bruce Lee. If you look up the lyrics for the song you will see that they say Bruce Lee dozens of times in the lyrics. The whole song and MV is about being like Bruce Lee (The alternate Chinese title is "Hero"), so that is why you see all the kungfu fighting moves in their choreography. Black and yellow are Bruce Lee's signature colors so that also is why they used those colors so prominently in the MV.

Uniformity is pleasing to watch in a dance, but it's not as necessary for this song because it's really more focused on the feel & energy of the dance -- which they absolutely NAILED.
