i don’t know if anyone in your chat explained it already, but that performance has a different formation because s.coups was injured so he couldn’t participate, which is why the part with the8 that was supposed to be a trio became a solo version, since s.coups is one of the dancers in that part!

around 2010s I think there used to be dance competition called Star Dance battle between Kpop groups and boy group can go against boy groups or even girl groups and it was so cool because each group has their own style and sometimes they would even cover each others song. I remember Girls Generation, Beast, After School(they were my favorite), 2pm, 2am, Suju and even IU. Gosh I wish they will bring it back or create show like that. It was so good, I wonder why they stopped.

ready to love era was CURSED before it even started. first minghao injured his ankle so that's why he's not in the end part where they go crazy. then, one day after their comeback they had to quarantine for 10 days because they came in contact with someone who tested positive for covid. after FINALLY ending the quarantine, scoups fell and injured his face so he wasn't part of the very few performances they had left which is why the minghao part went from a trio to a solo

maybe it has already been explained but in the performance scoups was injured so the formations changed a little bit and the8's part turned into a solo since scoups is a part of that. Love the reaction!

The reason for the changes in the formations was because two members were injured at the time of this accident promotion period. S.Coups, was not present in this performance at all because he had a little accident. The8 was in this performance but was only appearing on his parts because he had an ankle(?) injury before the comeback and was not allowed to do the heavy dances.

7:46 It's bc S. Coups is missing. Mingyu took his part and place in the previous formation (front far right) so he's missing from this one - he would've been back row, right, balancing out the formation (you can see him set back into his normal spot @ 7:49, white tee and purple short sleeve). Even having the practice for reference, that trio was the only difference you consciously noticed, and that's really down to Seventeen being so good at adjusting for missing members. Someone can correct me but I think the only performances they've brought in a replacement dancer for were 24H bc that one is just _so insanely precise_

Actually I'm curious: for competitions, when judging something like the formations, is it important for the formation to make sense or as long as it looks good, it's fine? Like for svt I think you've pointed out a couple of times that they have formations that seem like they shouldn't work in theory, but they pull it off when they perform. So, just curious if there are any specifics about formations that are impt in a competition.

The reason the formation was odd is because theyre losing a member since they are 13 in the performance video they are only 12
