I believe Adam is a two time National champion beatboxer, but properly called a vocal percussionist. He is crazy good, as is the entire group "Home Free". They are an a capella group..or vocal band..and every sound you hear in their music is made by their vocals. It's pretty amazing because when you listen to them,its easy to forget that there are no instruments. You wont regret checking them out. They primarily do country but do several genres, doing covers as well as original music. The best ones to start with are their covers of "Man of Constant Sorrow", Boys II Men "End of the Road, "The Butts Remix, "When a Man Loves a Woman",and "Ring of Fire".But honestly, you cant go wrong with any of their songs. Look forward to seeing your reaction to them. Subscribing NOW.

As everyone said below, he’s from the a capella group Home Free. He’s one of the original founders of this group. Adam Rupp and his brother Chris started this group until Chris left to peruse his own solo career. Adam’s talent is so good that most of the time you don’t realize that what you’re hearing is all being done by Adam… see the Butt Medley. His talents include sounding like a harmonica… see Man of Constant Sorrow and wooden castanets in the recently released Sea Shanty Medley video. If you do decide to take a peak into this group, Tim Foust, their bass, can reach the low note G1 (or A sharp to some), not found on the average keyboard. Austin, lead high tenor, can get those high notes while Rob… who reminds me of Bobby Singer from the t.v. show Supernatural, is their low tenor. And lastly, Chance, the replacement for retired member Chris Rupp, is a baritone/bass that nicely rounds off the group. But what really makes this group so special is their individual talent that they showcase each. No one member steals the front spot light. They are very talents, Austin wrote a Christmas song (something so very needed) that’s a comedy… see Cold Hard Cash. But what’s the most obvious thing is that they can hit those emotional song and still convey just how fun they seem to be doing these song… again see the Butt Medley. Their fans call themselves Home Fries.

Adam's Drum Solo was a response to all the people that didn't believe he did it with his mouth. Many of the other members can do small tricks to fill while Adam holds the base percussion for the group. If you watch some of their live performances you can catch them filling in, and on rare occasions they do some minor looping.

I understand that the other members of Home Free worry, every time that Adam has an unanticipated bowel movement... They're scared that the drum set he swallowed whole when he was 5 years old has decided that it is time to leave! 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
@lrfcowper3 жыл бұрын
Home Free is infamous from their Sing Off days as not being great dancers, but Adam and their bass Tim are exceptions to that. Some of the more recent "drum solo" videos of Adam include a segment where he does the beginning of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, with dance moves, including the moonwalk... in cowboy boots, no less. He's just phenomenally talented and phenomenally silly as well. A couple songs that haven't been mentioned here where his beatboxing is pretty mind-blowing are "American Pie feat. Don McLean" and "God Bless the USA feat. Lee Greenwood and the USAF Band". In the first he nearly passed out in the studio because the song is so freaking long, but his beatboxing and then his tenor singing in the 6-part harmony at the end are outstanding. In the latter, his military snare drum and fighter jet flyover sound at the end are amazing. You'll see some people saying he's a national or international champion. Don't know where that started, because Adam Rupp has never had time to compete beyond the local level. Home Free is on the road or recording 250+ days a year, and when they're not touring, Adam has a wife and two kids who are his priority. He probably could win titles nationally, but his focus is on the group and making sure their songs have the best percussion possible to bring out the meaning and emotion of the song. Sometimes that means he's just in the background doing his thing, letting the vocalists shine.
