Sir, I am planning for preparing wooden enclosure with an alumin. plate (may be covering 75% of area) at bottom of entire unit for grounding. Please suggest. Also please inform what are the wire gauges you are using for cabling.

This is interesting - the "ground loop breaker". 'll need to figure out how that is behaving to do its electrical job but sure seems like a welcome addtion for not much more work or money. I'm in the process of building a stereo tube amp and my main concern is apply proper and best grounding and layout. Thanks this was very helpful! Phll

Sir I have 3 types of pre amp usb module and giving a separate power supply to it. Case 1: If I connects it's ground point to star ground point , humming 90% decreases Case 2 : If I connects it's ground point to star ground point, humming remain same Case 3: If I connects it's ground point to star ground point, humming increases I tried a lot of ways, almost all the methods avilable in internet, 95% humming I cleared, rest there is some humming issues. I'm still trying but unsuccessful yet.

@@rahulsawant1493 Add an RFI EMI Filter to the power line of the amplifier. Search for the same on amazon. (Elcom brand)

Thank you dear, after 100 videos I finally found the video that explains. Always thought earthing and grounding is same. I just have one questions. How about 2 pin devices, how is earthing & grounding managed in 2 pin devices like tv? Also I have 2 very good amps from Yamaha and Marantz, both are 2 pin, eve the power socket at the back has 2 pins only, how is earthing managed there?

they have chassis grounding where there is *no* earth wire and *no* ground loop breaker, just the star ground directly to the chassis, hench *chassis ground*

@@garygranato9164 Hi. Can you explain what is the purpose of chassis ground in this case? Is it for safety reason? if yes then how? I don't have an electrical background so it's a bit hard for me to wrap my mind around!

@@anhhct i too am an amature. for safety the voltage is sent to ground. and also the chassis is used as a ground point/plain, stray RFI, EMI can be sent to ground via capacitors connected at the right place in the circuit. i think thats how it is anyway.
