Great reaction. Thank you! I really like your reactions to Lovebites and hope you return to them. If you do, I suggest Thunder Vengeance, live at Zepp, Set the World on Fire, Break the Wall, Swan Song (with the Chopin intro), Frozen Serenade. All live. Well all of their songs really (lol).

They are not a just power metal band, they are do all kinds of metal (heavy, thrash...) and sometimes have songs like this with different parts, they are overall a great metal band. Check out more of their live stuff like "Break the Wall", "Epilogue", "Swan song", "Scream for me".

LIVE these insanely talented women are flawless and in pursuit of total perfection always. This song has Miyako and Miho footprint all over it. They went through several gear changes all of them done in absolute perfection. Miyako's "Gary Moore" playing solo was stunning and Midori's weeping guitar playing shows she is much more than Flash and Shred. Through it all we have Miho's bass and the pocket rocket, Haruna on drums driving this group as Asami's vocals soar from beginning to end. This is the real Lovebites, LIVE playing Power, Speed, Thrash, Rock, Ballads and even classical piano a real group of very talented musicians who have honed their craft and now drive each other to perfection for the song each time. Nice reaction and do them LIVE and you will have the exhilaration of driving a Lamborghini at top speed on an open road because these women are that good. Next Scream for Me (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4DKZZqsiLqgedE) for the M & M show in all the guitar glory and then Empty Daydream (kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonLkKiDgp5noLc) for another great Miyako piano intro with Asami's bluesy vocals soaring until the power surge begins.

Yeah many reactors form a opinion after one song, assuming that it is the only thing they do, and might not be so impressed, or might just not fit their style of music. If they listen more songs, they begin to understand the depth and diversity of Lovebites better. There are many songs that will surprise you still. What I like most about Lovebites, is that they can adjust the style and have many elements of many different genres, sometimes in just one song. The songwriting ability of these girls is great, and their talent with instruments complement it well.

Im glad you gave them another listen. Shadowmaker is a good song for showing off their skills but they are way better than one might think just listening to that song. They have many beautiful songs and Miyako (Dean guitar) is the main composer for the band and very big into classical music. She plays piano since age 3, guitar since age 18. Try "Swan Song" or "Empty Daydream" LIVE next! Beautiful songs. Thank you for great video!

A great reaction! "Shadowmaker" may not have been to your liking, but I guarantee you, there are other songs in their extensive catalog that I think you will like as much (if not more) than this one. You won't find another band anywhere with this much talent, musicianship and composition skills as these ladies. They basically gravitate toward power metal and thrash metal. Check out "Break the Wall", "Holy War" and "Epilogue" (the live versions are much better, so try to find those first). These will give you an idea of their amazing versatility.

Great reaction and the composing skills are one of their strong points. There's a lot more songs that are different, which keeps them interesting, not a one trick pony. The most important song in LOVEBITES is the lyrics. They are playing to convey that. That's why the Japanese sing in English. If you are stuck only with the technique and composition of the performance, you will not understand it.
