You were ahead of the curve on these Kai 4" 7100 scissors. Just a perfect EDC scissor.

Becky, I agree with your statements. Didn't know I need professional scissors (7000 series) until I had one. I have the shears.... it is not heavy, still sharp as ever and the precision is to the T. I have a pair of series 5000 but it is not the same. Thank you for your demonstration.

Hello Becky, if you can look into Japanese Domestic Market, Silky scissors are better in cutting. But they don't come with metal finger rings. A little bummer but a half price of KAI.

I looked and some of the Silk scissors are similar to KAI... they may all be made by the same manufacturer with different specs. What I do know is that KAI stands behind the scissors they sell and will fix them if/when they need it (like when you drop them and they get a little out os whack). That is worth a little extra money to me :-).

Have you gotten anything sticky on them and how did you take it off?

I do my best not to cut sticky stuff but when stickiness happens, I use Oops (www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/products/oops-multipurpose-remover-and-cleaner) or Goo Gone
