I think you need a business head on why fit two to make it reliable when that other solenoid is a potential breakdown and more money to earn parts in stock easy fix got to keep them kids fed and watered never mind the struggle bus

@@mondodaftasabrush I understand that, but there’s 200 odd quid left in the JCB cab, not in the struggle bus, seen many a spare “vanish” from a cab. I’d of fitted both, wasn’t a long job anyway, as both were paid for, and not by myself. If the other one goes and the spare is missing, who pays? Not sure how many strugglers operate round there, but if the other fails, the spare is missing, maybe next time the owner phones someone else? That’s my business head on, maybe I’m just cynical. Not arguing with you, return work is always appreciated., like the welded hub, Chris offered to renew it, owner said no, get it welded, it’s failed again, so now it’s replacement time, no harm or foul there.

One slipped off the road on ice, one struggling to start and ended up at Volvo, exchanged for one that had a seized caliper. One not dropped off for service tomorrow cos today's service is waiting for new spring eye bushes. Just before finishing phone call to say burst hydraulic pipe on one. Chestnuts are fantastic when you sit and roast them on the fire,we use a long old toasting fork and stab a Chestnut on each prong,do 3 at a time,God I remember doing them wi dad as a kid,and now do them with my kids wi the same old fork!!!! Hi Chris JCB telehandlers are a nightmare especially if the have the stabilizer blocks that start leaking as you can't get to them so it's a JCB job and the same goes for the hoses inside the boom they are only a JCB part and takes a JCB fitter about a day maybe longer to do them . Can I have a shout out for Dave from hydraquip hose and hydraulics and will have to meet up so I can give you some hydraquip promo stuff

It's the same as when you purchase a part and you don't need it so you take it back and they say to you "Sorry mate there is a re-stocking fee" you what your charging me for you to go on the computer and change the quantity from say 1 and change it to 2 and go and stick it back in the stores on the shelf.

I did 25 years doing what you do and then got behind a desk. Worst decision of my life, controlling a workshop is like running a nursery school. Snowflake techs running in saying "Chris he is picking on me" At the age of 58 I have bought another van and back on the road. Smaller vehicles but trust me this is a lot easier at my age. Give us a shout out as we need subs haha. Chris.
