Professor calls SpaceX's lack of accountability for space debris 'frustrating'

It's been less than a week since NASA confirmed the debris found across Western North Carolina originated from the trunk of a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, however, the mountains are not the only place debris has fallen. NASA also confirmed debris from trunk of the Axiom Mission 3 fell in Saskatchewan, Canada, in late February. #NEWS

This was a NASA-ordered mission, the hardware and mission profile were approved by NASA and the US government should have taken responsibility for the mission from SpaceX. If this was a Starlink mission, where SpaceX was running its own mission, they would be responsible. Other private satellite missions, SpaceX could have pushed responsibility to the mission sponsor via contract, but I don't think they do so.

LOL! "Non-descript U-Haul van" You just described it because it is describable. Just remember that your chances of dying on our roadways is far, far greater than having space debris take you out. (Except for that extinction class asteroid so many people keep hoping will "end the insanity".)
