Keep up be strong everybody out there & love BRITS inspirations world wide, web connection is giving us now the great satisfaction to become supporters.. just like stadium ones watching the football game and encourage champions of life like you, yelling out loud, go champs go for it, running for life is never enough. Web technologies use now is showing, education never ends, there's not one single day without learning something new . ..and still we have to live as perfect hostages of those who have nothing but war disasters in their useless damaged brain. . . trying to use web connection in order to wake up people and spread knowledge is basic.. self defense if we still have any chance to defend ourselves from war criminals and mass murderers😢😢😢 keep up and love spreading good vibes, I am the biggest supporter of yours guys 🎉❤🎉

You would have hoped that after 800 years Cambridge could be across the technology to show the images on line as well as the lecture. Not Mary Beard’s fault.

Surely Cambridge can sort a lecture which displays the Professor's slides?

Mary Beard is always worth listening to at any time.I have most of her books, have attended a number of her lectures over the years, and she continues to impress. What a pity though, that Cambridge University appeared unable to produce this filmed lecture without providing the viewer the additional images that Mary would refer to - were they so technically challenged ????? - shame on you :(

All or almost all museums are in some way or another on the Internet. The collections of some of them can be visited online and that's good. However, the fact that historical objects (some real, others fake) are sold on the Internet as if it were a museum in which the visitor can buy a small piece of the past at a price compatible with their economic means can be considered a bad thing. In Moscow there is an open-air museum with tanks and armored vehicles from different countries captured by Russians in the war in Ukraine. I suppose that this museum, a material proof of the failure of armaments manufactured by the French, English, Americans, Germans, etc... is considered offensive by NATO maniacs. They probably want to declare war on Russia to recover those valuable objects and fill NATO's own museum with Russian tanks and armored vehicles full of holes. Will all museums be destroyed in the event of nuclear war? What use would they be if people die from nuclear explosions or are contaminated by radiation?

Why can't Cambridge show us the illustrations she's showing the audience? Lack of funds or lack of skill?
