Intriguing... Encouraging... Inspiring... Professor Nutt your work is wonderful... I had wondered how the psilocybin trials went ahead so the explanation here is illuminating... That perverse bureaucracy astounds me (heroin in one safe; psilocybin in another)... The "system" took me close to suicide from prescribed subutex... I am seriously researching psychedelics these days; your videos are thus extremely helpful. Best wishes.

Sorry this is late how did subutex almost cause you to commit suicide. Im currently on suboxone and I've felt pretty depressed on it.

​@@ThemanlymanStan The subutex dose was repeatedly increased over a 12 month period. I had to fight the system to get a slow titration. I had been addicted to opiates for many years but Subutex was stronger and more dangerous for me. It was the only drug on which I actually lost consciousness and I was desperate to be clean. So it was both the imprisonment of that system and the chemical effect which made me suicidal. Eventually the psychiatrist agreed to let me decrease the dose after which I experienced the most painful withdrawal and relapsed not long after. I never went back to the medical team after that and took it on myself to detox without help. I am now almost 3 years off everything and feel fine. I wish you the best.
