I’ll mention something else. As he was accusing Dr. Lichtman of “wiggling out” from a prediction, he didn’t listen. He said that dropping Biden would be a mistake because, based on the keys, less keys would need to go against the party of the white house to give Trump his chance of winning. But Cenk was too busy being a dick and trying to prove how right he was and how wrong Dr. Lichtman is to hear any of it.

If they were so successful, all he would've had to do was make sure to tick off enough of them to win.

I remember when Lichtman predicted Trump to win in 2016, I refused to believe it. Partly because the last thing I wanted was a Trump presidency plus Trump encouraged my country, Britain to leave the EU, which has turned out to be the worst modern day decision my country has ever made. So following Lichtman’s prediction of Trump in 2016, I began to follow him his methodology in prediction elections. What many people don’t understand and particularly people like Cenk, who I used to greatly admire is that Lichtman is using a science based approach to analyse specific aspects that need to occur when making his predictions. His approach was originally designed for earthquake prediction. Not dissimilar to how a meteorologist is a physical scientist who observes, studies, or forecasts the weather. It doesn’t mean Lichtman will be right 100% of the time but it means emotions and feelings and especially debates don’t play a part in their methodology. One of his 13 keys is key 8. “No social unrest: There is no sustained social unrest during the term.” Trump having just been shot could provide social unrest” but this is just one of the 13 keys. Cenk is relying on mood, feelings and day-to-day polls which as a barometer could never be accurate because people’s mood and feelings change or are affected when they are faced with hard realities. Lichtman isn’t a Democratic operative neither is he a Republican operative. He calls an election based on his tried and proven method. Cenk is caught in a bubble because he despises the majority of Democratic Party because of their obsequiousness to corporate greed and I completely understand that. But this election is too important to be bemoaning about whether Biden will or won’t drop out. Lichtman’s method will still be right if Kamala Harris becomes the candidate, but I can assure you, Cenk would still hate that. In my opinion, more people dislike Trump than they dislike Biden. More people will vote for Biden for this very reason. True Republican voters are still out there and they want to see the back of Trump. They, along with independents won’t vote for Trump. There is no one who is focused on the election at this point is undecided. The undecided voters aren’t focused on the day-to-day of political campaigns and political talking heads. Which is why Lichtman’s method might prove correct.
