Im an 0671 in the Marine Corps and am trying to get sec + before I leave my schoolhouse. does anyone have any tips for someone who has no clue what any of this means?

@@timothyclemmons4903 I pick up on monday. I don't have any other certificates. Just trying to get this to help set me apart from my peers. I am an absolute beginner to doing computer stuff.

@@joshtreola968 I wouldn't worry too much about being a total noob to computers. Your schoolhouse should set you up with most hardware and software functions of a computer. But, if you do want to try and understand how computers work I highly recommend you check out FreeCodeCamp. They're a channel on youtube and they provide entire courses related to everything computer-related. Like full ass courses (13+ hours for some videos), so watch a few of their videos and really take some notes to try and understand as much as possible. I would not worry too much about getting your Sec+ yet, but if you did want to get it within the next year, I highly recommend you read the Sec+ book that I read, "Get Certified Get Ahead SYO-601 Study Guide" by Darril Gibson. I bought the e-book off amazon for like 15 dollars or some shit. Read the entirety of it and I understand 90% of Sec+ info comfortably. Darril Gibson is really good at breaking concepts down so beginners can understand them. Anyways, feel free to ask any other questions, good luck at the schoolhouse. Finish top of the class
