Improving position, and submitting an opponent that is disconnected from the ground is easy, provided you are the one that is connected.
When both students are connected, the jiu jitsu starts, and it becomes essential to set up traps for your opponent to fall in.
When you are the one attacking, you are showing your moves while your opponent defends. If you are the one in defence, you see your opponent's moves come first, defend it, and then premeditate and be in control of the next move instead.
This excpert comes from Master Pedro Sauer's tour of Australia in 2017 and was filmed at Higher Jiu Jitsu.
An honour to be affiliated and hosting such a wizard of our art.

best way to get out of side control is the baby bridge. and protect against underhooks.
