Professor Sir Stephen Powis at NWC Research and Innovation Awards 2023

NHS England Medical Director Professor Sir Stephen Powis addressed guests at the NWC Research and Innovation Awards 2023 and presented the Unsung Hero Award, won by Sue Smith of One Wirral CIC.
Here, he describes his last attendance at the awards, in late February 2020 as the pandemic was starting; and his reflections on the 75th birthday of the NHS.
