OMG, how can you make something complicated feel so easy? Thank you. You know how many pages I read trying to understand that thing, I spent days reading and I learned nothing. 5 minutes of watching your videos made it crystal clear. Thank you very much, Genius.

There is a good chance most of what you learned came from that reading though... and then this video crystalized everything! :)

Polar coordinates are pretty easy though, think of it as a vector, a vector can be represented in 2 ways, either with x, y, z (sometimes more) coordinates or with direction (well if you wanted to do it in 3 dimensions you'd need spherical coordinates) and magnitude

Just dropping by to say thanks, thanks a whole lot. I checked a lot of sources but none of them explained it as clearly as you did, with some of them straight up skipping things like graphing polar equations and/or turning from polar form to rectangular form.

Is the solution to the very last quiz r=4sin(Theta) correct? Because I did follow the same methods and they aligned well enough for the first two steps, but I don't think the last step should show the X^2 as being unaffected with the removal of Y on the other side. I feel like the correct solution should be more like (X^2/Y) + Y = 4.
@tmchannel84835 ай бұрын
He did it by completing the square. Starting at x^2 + y^2 = 4y, we start by moving 4y to the other side, and flipping the sign. We can then add and subtract 4 (the square of half the coefficient of the y term), like so: x^2 + y^2 - 4y + 4 - 4 = 0. We move the last 4 over to the other side, and y^2 - 4y + 4 can now be rewritten as (y - 2)^2, giving us x^2 + (y - 2)^2 = 4.

Hi there! Can you help me with these awful problems? And please, can you do several videos about these specifics sort of problems r=2 r= 2 theta r=sin theta r=sin 3theta r= sin 4theta r=sin^2 2theta r= 3(1 - cos theta) r= 2 + cos theta 3= r cos (theta + pi/6) Change the equation {r^2 = sec 2 theta} To Cartesian coordinates and sketch its graph. Find all the points where these two curves intersect. r= 4(1 + cos theta) 3= r (1 - cos theta) Proof that the equation of the line y = mx + b is the equivalente to the equation d/r = sin(theta - theta°) Then find expressions for m and b in terms of d and theta° . Give several values of n r= sin (n theta) Thanks a lot for read my comment and for you time.

Can someone please explain why he can reduce r²=6r*sin(theta) to r=6sin(theta)? This is a quadratic equation and normally you'd handle these by factoring. So why the deviation here?
@Wutheheooooo10 ай бұрын
why not? it's not about solving an equation but about change the equation in the way to get what we want. In fact, quadric equation required you to do that too, every equation do. You can do what ever you want as long as you do it in both side
@Wutheheooooo10 ай бұрын
also for your question r² = 6rsin(theta) if you divide by r in both side you get r = 6 sin(theta) simple as that

It would be a bit more helpful if you could indicate which axis is theta and r. Thanks for the video.
@EmpyreanLightASMR2 жыл бұрын
theta isn't an axis, it's the angle. R isn't an axis either, it's the radius of the object being drawn, or the hypotenuse of, essentially, an invisible triangle you can draw.
