As so many others have stated it's fun to see the respect he gets and gives. I love watching his videos when he goes to a municipal court. I assume most of the crowd there are locals that know and play against each other regularly so there HAS to be a bit of pride involved. But he pulls off a few moves and they all started screaming, laughing and smiling! (I also had to explain to my wife that ankle breaking doesn't actually mean any ankles were broken!)

It's just the angle like you said. Not to take anything away from him, but first, he bends his knees so it actually appears higher, but he immediately flexes his legs and you can use the guy behind him as a ruler he made it to the guy's thigh.
