Future did this same 2 album at the same time rollout in 2017 with his self-titled and HNDRXX albums. Similar to that run, 1st album is standard Future trap rap. 2nd is Future's autotune R&B style. So i love this project because i also loved HNDRXX back then

FUTURE / HNDRX is a much better version of this, you should listen and review if you haven’t heard prof!!!

AVAA - this reminds me a lot of the HNDRXX album from the FUTURE / HNDRXX era - would love to hear you review those two projects! there are some incredible tracks in there.
@guedrini20458 ай бұрын
Those 2 masterpieces made future the only artist ever to go no 1 on billboard in consecutive weeks with 2 different albums. Also HNDRXX was the first time we really heard future in his R&B bag and it was largely experimental. It got quite a bit of hate at the time of release and has ended up aging beautifully!!

avaa! i love your videos so much your comments are so perceptive. i love future aswell, he'll always be one of the most appreciated yet still underappreciated artists

That’s so true 😂😂 I see and hear so much love for future but at the same time I see jsut as much hate disrespect and discredit for his work! Almost all his music ages very well tho and a lot of people who hated him have realized maybe there is something special to him so I think in years time he’ll be looked back upon very fondly

AVAA, “this Sunday” was actually a reference track for a Drake song that future made in 2015 or 2016 so it’s funny how you say the fade sounds outdated and it checks!😂 really impressive the song holds its own today (apart from fade out) showing that future really usually does see the vision ahead of its time

AVAA, as a future fan my guess as to why they did this is for fans. The first one was for everyone and the mainstream sound. Fans have been asking for a HNDRXX 2 or for future to go very melodic R&B again. This one is for the actual future fans who enjoy much much more than just his big hits. What really sold me on this was disc 2 has tracks that sound EXACTLY like monster leftovers like it’s a monster 2. I like the 2nd album much more even tho the first is still great

Avaa, please stop edging us and just make a full video about The Idol and it’s companion album already. As a This Sunday lover, you MUST check out Drake’s Feel No Ways. A sleeper hit that is famously Tyler’s favorite Drake song. This Sunday was originally a reference track for Feel No Ways and they’re both fantastic songs in there own right. 🫡 Keep up the great work, Professor !

AVAA, commendatori. If you're looking for more "near-ambient high art lean music" I would highly recommend Joeyy and Shed Theory, specifically their newest releases, "Just Tired 2" and "Cave," respectively. The production, beats, vocals, and lyrics, (which focus not only on being severely addicted to opiates and designer fashion but also on fearing God), are so idiosyncratic and refreshing. Much like Carti's run of phenomenal singles in the past few months, I believe Joeyy & Co. are truly taking plugg/trap to the next, avant-garde sort of level.

do you ever dislike music?
@professorskye8 ай бұрын
All the time! It is part of my beliefs that the world needs more celebration of good art and less mockery of bad art. The only time I'll really publicly put something down is when it is by an artist with lots of acclaim already. Sometimes you can tell when I don't like something when you'd think I'd review it but then I don't. For example, the new Conan Gray was pretty disappointing, but I'd rather not spend my energy putting down an artist I usually like.
