I'm heterosexual and I live this life believing that we're all human beings first, and we must love and respect people and their truths. Honestly, there is an honesty and vulnerability about gay couples that I love and admire. Just let love win. Let love be the center. Just live and let others live. I think the world could be better if we just love, respect one another. I think too it's important that if I disagree with an alternative life that you too should respect me and what is true for me! Just let us love.

"toxic masculinity" well I guess it was not so much with your family especially livinbg in an "homophobic" country, since your family readily accepted you unconditionally. It just goes to show you can't paint everyone with a wide brush. So all of the talk about Jamaican homophobia, there are people in Jaimiaca obviously who are more open minded but we do not hear from them, and you still say especailly black families. As a black gay man who is now a senior, I have not experience that at all. On the other hand I have know many white families who have disowned their children. So lets stop putting so much of this on black families, which leads me to believe you have not really learn to love and respect black people yourself, although you are in a relationship with a black man. Black people are some of the most tolerant people on the planet, despite Jamaica and parts of African that have adopted the Colonist attitudes toward homosexuality. So if you are going to talk about black homophobia, please provide some context, and quit doing the white man;s work.
